Thanks for the video. I have the same bike and also had the same problem with the steering head, but it was quickly solved. The wheels are made by DT Swiss and were true. It has basic components, the weight corresponds to the price, the brakes with ceramic pistons are a big advantage. If you want a 10kg bike you pay twice as much.

Had the same problem with my headset feeling loose, wasnt sure if it was ment to be on this bike because of the steering stop. Fixed it like you did and now everything feels good, thank you! Still not really assuring that Canyon doesnt seem to know how to properly tighten the headset on their own bike…

I’m quite tempted by one of these instead of a gravel bike in the U.K. only 2 minutes riding for me until I get off road and then I’ve got miles of forest roads as well as singletrack and a trail centre to play with.

Well, have you checked the wheel tension? this may be the reason why it was untrue. The grease is essential, according to the chain manufactureres, the disc legally required. The headset is something you need to have in mind but it is not a problem, there is an assembly video online. The weight is "for M-sized frames excluding pedals", you never mentioned the bike size. It is also an estimated weight, since components, especially tires, have differences in weight due to manufacturing. Your only valid claims are: Disc dummy (could've slipped out while taking the bike out) Tire Bead (Tire usually aren't fully inflated when shipped, they can pop in once you assemble the bike) Carbon Lay-up The latter is the only critique I can not say anything about, as I do not know how important it is in this area on the inside. Your point could be valid. Everything else is not worth mentioning.

Im surpries that It almost weighs like my Full Aluminium XC bike also with the same groupset and a 4piston m6120 which is around 12.1kg. Maybe because this exceed has a Alloy cockpit and also m6100 cassette is really heavy.
