Checking Out Palomar Mountain Campgrounds

We would love to camp at Palomar Mountain! Even if the Observatory is closed right now (bummer!) the campgrounds are gorgeous, so we decided to check them out. We loved them so much, we made a reservation for next month. Come look with us! PALOMAR CAMPGROUNDS

1980 our school went to Palomar camp, was a blast for us 6th graders, we had a black counselor and he told us this crazy night time story that took 2 nights before we went to bed about a whack in the mountains they called Crazy Donald.

@@TinCanTwosome We were also scheduled to go visit the Observatory too on Wed. but one of the counselors that left early accidentally took the keys to the bus and we never went, I was so excited to see it, I was pissed, had fun anyways.

I would definitely make reservations first because it’s a very popular place, and I would hate for you to be disappointed. Have you ever considered Boondocking? Apparently there’s a lot of BLM land around there and you could probably find beautiful places to camp that way too.
