Today I decided to mix things up a bit and filter uncleared levels by the "Other" region. This typically includes Australia, Russia and a few other places. This video documents the levels I found along the way...

24:48 there's hidden blocks in this room above the third arrow that take you to the top, and there's a hidden P switch in there too near the top, that take you to the ending.

I've been personally trying to get first clears because of how much I love Uncle DGR! There are so many hot garbage levels, I wish there was a dedicated server to scoping out and helping each other choose and best some of these awful levels. I feel like if there was a massive movement to clear as many levels as possible, we'd catch up at a certain point. And with a discord, we'd be able to discuss hidden tech, invisible blocks, or pathways that most of wouldn't be able to discover alone.

I'm going game, style and region Edit: 5H0-H70-WFF The last Mario 3D World Expert Level in the Other region that's uncleared. I've spent the last week clearing them out. Just need one final level I can't get.

You can always join T0... No idea if they're still doing anything or not. Anyone of any skill level is allowed to join though, not just elites.

The clustered level was very good. The door at the end was probably used for decoration rather than an intentional soft lock. Unfortunately, the creator overlooked their mistake.

Most likely not. Many creators use doors at the end of levels. It wouldn’t make sense if the creator used it for a soft lock, since the level had great quality throughout.

Yeah I thought the door at the end was decorative and to give Mario what looked like a way out after you hit the goal tape. But then the creator woulda just made it so you can go right back through the door if that was the case. With the level being so detailed, I don’t think we can chalk that obvious soft lock up to oversight. Imo, he made the door at the end for decoration at first and then decided “if someone goes through here… soft lock city lol”

Russia is part of both Europe and Asia. There shouldn't be any Russian levels in the "Other" region.

That last level had a hidden dev exit i GUARANTEE you! i'd be willing to bet my paycheck on it and no doubt its probably a kaizo block high up in the sky which is why you saw the racoon powerup, things like that can be near impossible to find when you have no clue where to fly.

Yeah lol. I don’t think it was an intentional soft lock. Just a big flaw overlooked by the creator who tried using it for decoration.

That's how these kid "creators" are. They design a level. Can't beat it on "Easy" and then have to add a dev exit just to make it "Easy". Dev exit levels shouldn't even be allowed to be uploaded.

I don’t get it DGR, I don’t get it. You are inches away from victory and achieving greatness, but you decide that you need to know all of the secrets to the level and enter another door, only to realize you are awarded with death. The flagpole is RIGHT THERE! Its so bright! How could you miss it? Just hit the pole when you see it is the lesson I am trying to teach you here. Thanks for your time.

I realized the face of DGR in the thumbnail of this video seems to be have gone crazy. It seems as though the farther he goes on with Super Mario Maker troll and uncleared levels is starting to drive DGR into insanity. You can see the progress he made from an uncleared level video thumbnail from a month ago, and the thumbnail of this video right now. Hope thumbnail DGR is doing okay ;)

I had just finished rewatching a clip of the video when I saw your comment so I reloaded the page so I could see the thumbnail. A few seconds after it reloaded and I saw what you were talking about the video auto played where I had left off at 24:32. It was Dave saying "Sheeeeeeesh!!". The reason you don’t usually say cluttered maze levels like that is because they’re really frustrating to try to play through as most of the time you can’t see what you need to do; hiding what the player needs to progress is not good level design

Levels with unneeded indicator... maybe they are for all coin runs? One seems like it. I think the math level is supposed to play normally, not racing through. DGR level has indicator of wanting a leaf, he never searched for it... ouch. Don't worry Dave, i -loved- liked watching you fail, like always. :P

IIRC when sorting by clear rate and setting to Super Expert it gives a lot of levels which have been cleared but have a low enough rate to be rounded down to 0, so it’s hard to actually find uncleared Super Expert levels.

At 25:33 there is a thwomp with on off switch so when u return to the beginning I think do the level again cause the switch might change something

I’m Aussie but I don’t have SMM2 so I can’t make any levels. I would probably make some difficult speedruns that entail lots of spin jumping (SMW). I do have some experience in level making on other platformers, though! I might buy it, its just a bit expensive. Its legit 70AUD for a mario level making spin-off, not worth the money at all.

I don't know how to feel about Australia being in the "Other" option in a lot of things Maybe these things are based on population, which would make sense because the continent "Australia" has less than 30M people living here, and America (and other places) have over 100M in their country/continent (Populations based on last time I checked which was like 5 years ago)
