Counter-Strike is a game that first started as a mod to the 1998 video game Half-Life over twenty years ago. It's always featured some nuclear maps, so let's take a look at how they're presented in Counter-Strike 2.

"Oh my God, am I surrounded by terrorists?" (in calmest voice ever). Would be a different kind of John Wick movie if you were in it, yeah? 🙂

I think the weird thing over the pool is some sort of fuel reloader/unloader/manipulator They also look like a really big radioisotope thermal electric generator, it looks like a giant version of the beta m generators they used for lighthouses and Radio relays

On de_nuke there are some sorts of turbines situated underground close to B site out of bounds where you can look at them through glass. Cool video though would love to see more like this

I took a look at those turbines near Site B and they're too small to be the turbines for the reactor, the shot I used of a real turbine hall didn't have any humans but the turbines are huge. I think what's in de_nuke are just industrial-looking pumps or generators of some sort for set dressing. Here's a picture of a turbine under construction/maintenance with humans for scale www.pinterest.com/pin/566116615629579903/

Not all fuel sets are square or hexagonal, Magnox reactors for example uses fuel assemblies that is actually not a assembly but a single fuel rod, Magnox does not have a fuel assemblies, but instead a thicker fuel rod, around 50mm or more, and these fuel rods have heat sinks on them, because Magnox is cooled by CO2 instead of water. I couldn't see it clearly, but in the game it looked similar. Edit: I don't know if it's that white and red thing you're talking about but it also reminds me a bit of a PWR reactor lid because of the control rod tubes on top, but it's kind of small lol.

Boss, Had an interesting experience some years ago. Got to see a training area for your industry. I think it was called Framatome in Lynchburg VA. Until the day of my visit I had no idea how big / small a reactor was. They had an un used one that had an opening cut into it, and it could be walked into. A 550Mw unit was small by my non experienced point of view. They also had a fuel pool (un loaded) to allow students to train on how to handle materials. Might be cool to see some of these things and get a feel for how big the tools of your industry are. Thanks in advance. Mike

nice video! I was looking around nuke and I noticed another containment building next to ct spawn. Is this for another reactor do you think?

@@TheAtomicAgeCM cool, thank you for the reply :) Are the cylinders throughout A site, ramp and B site containers only for spent fuel or could they have fresh fuel rods/pellets in them?
@TheAtomicAgeCM
@TheAtomicAgeCM 9 ай бұрын
@@oko3717 they seem to be for spent fuel because of how large they are, but i think the container in B is one one of those large containers with the top removed which, like i said, I have no idea what that is supposed to be. but fresh fuel is (basically) not radioactive, so it's shipped in much slimmer packaging, and shipped horizontally (this package holds one fuel assembly encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQg6zWsO3Wu2neYJcAW-2e3rMIb-EhQp_sVdRSiuot-2WTbzW85r1yk2OE6eEoHXrmMHfU&usqp=CAU)
