Russia is often portrayed in a bad light by the west. You can see that in the news, in movies, in plays and books. I find it refreshing to see Russia in Russian perspective. You have deeper understanding to what is currently happening in there and can easily share to an audience outside Russia. Thank you to both of you. Keep safe.

I've seen a couple of Real Reporter's videos and all this time I thought he was an American or maybe a Russian American...or a KGB spy! His speech and actions just seem so American! I'm born, raised, and live in the USA (Oregon).

Hah lemme say what i think. ryans comments are generic, what he did so with a lot of effort is actually somethibg that western antirussian audience say the very first thing, its a like a toddlers reaction. I get these ”accusations” all the time. So i dont think there any ”nerves” to be hit

I think the war changed a lot in the west , the people start realizing who Russia is or are interested in finding out more about Russia . Same goes for me , before all this we all know Russia from movies . Poor country , always snow and the Kremlin , this building with this colored hats , wich is actually a curch and not the Kremlin . One time I found a vlog from Moscow and damn this is a modern good looking city . Vienna in comparison looks like a real poor city to me , that's the problem if you only know places from Hollywood movies .

You speak with no accent. I have lived in the US for many years, but I still have some accent that I can not get rid of, even though I speak and write better than most Americans..

To Real Reporter: Your accent is very good, but sometimes your choice of words and idioms is off. Sometimes they are inaccurate for their intended use. For example, when you said, “it’s a two-way street,” it would’ve been better to use “it’s a double-edged sword,” or “it cuts both ways.” And when you described how your videos and channel started to go “uphill,” I think “taken off” or “rocketed” would’ve been better to describe your success. Using the word uphill is best used when describing a difficult challenge.

I thought "two-way street" and "double-edged sword" meant the same thing

@@ZapperRS , no, but it’s a common mix up. A “double-edged sword” is something that can be both beneficial and problematic. And a “two-way street” is a situation where both sides must put forth an equal amount of effort to get a desired result.

@@mitchrodee 1 it got hits, 2 goes both ways Or it went off the hook with mad hits, or it got mad hits, Pros and cons and then give example how. Either way his expression was understandable.

@@58090 , I’m just pointing this out to him because he believes such details matter. Look at how much effort he has put into trying to master an American English accent. It’s just a bit of constructive criticism for someone that appears to be precise in his language skills.
