So much respect for her. Just an AMAZING person and mentor. The amount of criticism she’s under, for just being a cheerleading coach is so unfair! She has helped SO many kids and is not responsible for other peoples actions. Hope people will eventually see though the controversy and acknowledge her for all the positivity, hard work and love she has put into the world.

The criticism comes from people who don't understand the job. They've never sacrificed or given as much as she has so they don't get it. The proof is their of her success. She knows what she's doing and nobody died or got seriously injured.

They painted her almost in a villainess standpoint in season 2 which I did not enjoy. She deserved/deserves so much better. What Jerry did is 100% not her fault, and she’s entitled to her emotions in the situation. Losing the person you thought someone was and they turned out to be awful, and they were doing it right under your nose, it’s a real loss and hurts. She’s an effing human

Monicaaaaaa 🔥❤️🙏🏾. So much love and respect to you. Let me start off saying the bond she has with her kids is amazing. The pain she felt after finding out the news is heartbreaking. You can tell that her emotions were broken. Then her relationship with LaDarius (my apologies if I misspelled his name) is so beautiful. I cried on the final episode when they finally had the conversation to clear the air. You can tell Monica really loves and cares for him like a son. The time and sacrifice in how she builds a bond with them individually and as a team is rare. Look at the other people she’s built relationships with over the years whom she’s made an impact. When it comes to the situation with Jerry, that is Jerry’s situation and people make choices. That is not Monica’s fault nor is she responsible for the choice(s) he’s made. He has to be accountable for that.

Devastated for the victims and for Monica… she’s just an amazing woman, coach, mentor and human… I can’t imagine how all of this is actually playing on her heart and mind. She’s helped so many people and should be celebrated for her strength and this is not a reflection of anything about her… she can’t make choices for people but only help where she can. She could easily be a victim here … but she’s a survivor… and could not be a better person and role model… hoping for healing for all those effected by this and I can’t imagine how difficult this is for all involved

I watched the series. The only complaint I have about the coach is when La’darius was having issues w that asst coach, when she was out w dwts, she should’ve known that la’darius was probably acting out and all that stuff on social media was not an attack but a cry of help. She was so concentrated on dwts and cheer, it’s hard to believe she really felt like she treated him like her own kid. If her kids were doing the same thing, she wouldn’t have let the relationship just fall apart. So that’s just a lesson to ppl like Jerry and la’darius. Don’t believe that ppl care about u like that…. Don’t value that fake “family” stuff.

He controls his response. No one else. For one part in all of those years she was busy. Instead of him respecting and understanding that, he threw a fit. She needed the same support and understanding he requested. So no, he burned a bridge bc someone had a lot going on for a month in their life. And he didn’t gave the same understanding she gives when he behaves like he does. It’s a two way street. Sorry. It was one month he couldn’t get the attention he wanted. She’s NOT his mother. He’s like FAMILY. Not her children.

@@bethm5791 - she completely ignored him when he needed her. She felt he was not worth it. She made everything that was happening about herself. She’s the one who said she thinks of the cheerleaders, especially ladarius, as her children. She didn’t say family. Since SHE said that about the way she thinks of him and Jerry, she shoulda treated them like her kids. That’s all he was doing was acting like a child and if she would’ve taken a minute out of her time to find out what was going on, like she would’ve w her biological kids, they would’ve been able to talk it out. He was a big part of the squad. He helped them; NOT the assistant coach!

Then he left so that was on him. La'darius knew the drill and knew how to behave but decided to keep being confrontational. Not Monica's fault and she was going through enough. The team that he supposedly loved, needed him and he couldn't be an adult. Fake family? He'd be dead if it wasn't for her and one kid should never try to take mom's attention constantly. That's selfish.

@@lovefist86 Do you not understand ALL the triggers that must have been set off & how the dominos fell once everything happened? He went all the way back to the little boy being left with a neighbor, while being raped, called names, disowned by “family”, taking pills, taking a knife cutting himself just to wake up hours later to realize NO ONE came to look for him or send help. He left to save himself. It hurts to be with people that could, but don’t. I pray that I give the mercy that has been given to me.

I 💗 Monica, she's a golden light in this sinister world. Such a true class act, she deserves the World! and i would even watch a movie about her life.💫 I don't believe those two boys at all btw, i think the allegations are false. I never trust such media and they all seemed jealous. Gabby knows it too and did not turn her back on her friend, innocent untill proven guilty. I really believe that the allegations are false and i hope that i'm right. I skipped through that episode after a few minutes: i don't believe it and it ruined the CHEER vybes. I will continue watching the rest but i had to skip the allegations.

It’s because she’s the adult and occupying a position of authority. When you choose to be a coach, and as involved as she is in her athletes lives, there’s a level of responsibility to let others know when certain behaviors are unacceptable.

@lisa tanner yes but many of the hollywood AFRICAN AMERICAN celebrities dont look black they look light skin & mixed race.ebony mag says they use this lotion fer.la which makes them look far more light skin & mixed race and not black anymore. Im not surprised everybody seems to change their appearance these days.
