Early Extra Magic Hours at Animal Kingdom | Jiko | Walt Disney World Vlog | October 2019

We enjoy more early morning Extra Magic Hours and head to Animal Kingdom to do some “must do’s” and end the day back at the resort with some fancy signature dining at Jiko.

In this video we ALL get up early for the Extra Magic Hours at Animal Kingdom.
First, we head to Pandora for our FastPass on Flight of Passage then it’s over to Asia for a cheeky 10 minute stand-by ride on Expedition Everest.
We take a pit-stop at Creature Comforts for a much needed intake of sugar and caffeine from Starbucks (where it’s Luke’s turn for an epic brain freeze!) before heading to Up! A Great Bird Adventure.
Next, we experience our first rainy Kilimanjaro Safari as the heavens open as we set off but, luckily, it dries up before we return!
On the way to Dinoland U.S.A. we spot an interesting snack on the menu at Trilo-Bites food kiosk so we stop to try some tasty buffalo chicken chips before searching for that illusive Iguanadon on Dinosaur.
Our Walt Disney World vacation would not be complete without watching Finding Nemo - the Musical before heading back to the resort.
Back in the villa we test out some of the DVC accommodation amenities with some DIY snacks of oven pizza and a savoury Hot Pocket.
Keith & Tracey take the short walk to Jambo House in the evening sunshine to enjoy a drink in the Victoria Falls Lounge before meeting Luke and Daisy at Jiko for dinner.

Latte Keith: You will always find him in the kitchen at Parties. This is was just hilarious from start to finish (the dreadful Nemo show aside!). Luke & Daisy whooping and clapping after Dinosaur was top drawer 😂 and the shorts were an inspired choice for both a wet day in the park AND a dinner reservation. Keep these coming guys. Just brilliant 👌

Cheers matey this was so much fun editing because i had pretty much forgotten lots of it,my memory is a shocker. The shorts came into their own on this day as you can see from the safari footage. More importantly though "you no likey Nemo show ?"

The safari rain was insane! But great animal viewing options! Luke looked like Bear from BoSelecta with those ears in. Grrrrrr. And that steak looked like murder on a plate! That smear! Blimey!

Haha I loved BoSelecta 🤣🤣🤣 it properly chucked it down. Luke was being such nuisance when I was trying to put the poncho on. I couldn't work it out. My steak didn't Luke that gruesome in real life but it did look a bit gory on he vlog

Just having a wet lazy Sunday catching up on some vlogs in prep for our Sept trip. Our last trip was a couple of weeks before your 2019 trip. Loved your comment Keith about a new catch phrase on every trip, we have one from pretty much every trip as well, and we could quite easily name them 🤣

Yes, it was amazing how the rain perked them up! The Tesco ponchos are perfect.....although tricky to put on in a hurry! Lol! 🤣🤣

Insert me, learning about your vlogs via Adam Hattan's newer vlogs. Going on a binge as I'm enjoying the family dynamic. Watching this video - "OH that looks like the same cast member Adam and Gary watched at the bird show on their October 2019 trip." Realizes that they all were probably there at the same time-ish. Our favorite signature dining at WDW are California Grill, Citricos, and Monsieur Paul. For seafood Narcoosse. Lovely vlog. Lovely family. Cheers.

Ooh yes! So homesick for Animal Kingdom! I'm with Daisy - Dinosaur rules! The shops in AK are great. We've never done Standby for Flight of Passage either! My youngest bought that round cuddly yeti many years ago! Starbucks in AK is our fave place for coffee. We must be related, my name is Shari Latte! 😄 We love a holiday catchphrase. That rain! I've never seen it like that on a safari. SHORT ALERT!!! Love Nemo, I always have a tear in my eye at the end. Ooh we love Jiko - such a special meal. Great video xxx

Love heads up, especially the Disney Parks version 😄 Can't believe you actually saw lions fighting... well, a tiny bit...not snoozing at least anyway! We went to Jiko a few years ago and enjoyed it. Shame your food wasn't quite a great as you hoped. Jiko does get hyped a lot as being one of the best so it does make it hard to meet expectations! I thought that seafood stew looked great, but obviously can't taste it through the screen! To be fair I remember enjoying the food but don't actually remember what we had, so that does say something I suppose! We were on the dining plan too and sounds super pricey without then.

Gosh! I can’t believe that rain and then a few minutes later brilliant sunshine... 😯 I’m a dinosaur convert. Used to hate it now I find it quite entertaining 🤣 Was literally just typing, ‘In my opinion the Finding Nemo show is the best show at Disney’ and then you go ahead and say the exact same thing! 😲 Totally agree with you 👌🏻 Wow! Dinsosaur is so cheesy and a bit dated now ...you just have to embrace it! The rain was insane....never experienced it like that on the safari before but it DID make it interesting! Lol! Turns out we are an elite breed and the Nemo show is a bit like marmite! Who knew?!?!? 😲!!!!

Yes, do - we'd definitely try it again. To be honest, all the AKL food options were pretty good and it's such a lovely resort. Enjoy! 😍

I don't know if you have ever gotten to ride it. but in my opinion the best ride at Disney is "Rise of the Resistance" It's mind blowing.

Would deffo do it with dining plan but probably not pay out of pocket. AKL was awesome and the busses were on point. I way prefer okw though

Exciting !!! august 2020 for me !!! Don’t forget to drink water !!!! I’m going for the gondolas and the new star wars ride and new Epcot stuff !!! Exciting !!!!!!! This is my 12th time !!!! Exciting !!!!!! When I get there I like to watch the fireworks, at Epcot and get the park hopper the gondolas will come in handy for that !

Haha,thanks guys. The food was pretty good but really pricey especially as there was only one alcoholic drink. You definitely wouldn't want to have a bit of a session in there 🍺🍻😖😖😖

Great Animal Kingdom day guys! Sorry Jiko didn’t live up to your expectations, that’s a bummer. We had a brilliant dinner there back in August. California Grill is a really great one as well. Without the dining plan the sticker shock can be... well shocking 😁

Aww cheers guys. We would definitely try jiko again I think we were expecting alot. I think when compared to California grill and narcooses ,our favourites it might be a little unfair. It was good just not great
