I love this song! It's haunting in a way, and just beautiful. The Corries really were something! The way they blended their incredibly smooth voices and their music is totally enchanting. I'm so glad I found their music, because it is now ranked among my favorites. Thanks for posting.

Funny stuff; they had wonderful stage personalities, didn't they? And "Sally Free and Easy" is one of my favorite Corries tunes. Very cool, thanks for the happies.

What an amazing rendition of this song. Beautiful. I love the humour as well. All done in good spirits, no malice in it - just fun. We're far too politically correct nowadays. People can't take a joke anymore.

Hmmm. Well... I dont think its a joke Im afraid. Some people may have meant it that way but I dont think all of them did. I dont think ti would happen today though - and if it did it would be frowned up, and rightly so. (and I am a Scotsman, incidentally, born and bred). However. The main thing is the music was great. In some ways it seems quite dated but it doesnt suffer from that at all - it's still very warm and wionderful.

As you'll maybe realise it was a live concert and Roy says they don't play to segregated audiences and was all done tounge in cheek no "RACIST" meaning and it was 1971.today we've to far regarding P.C.

Great stuff from the boys, but horrible to hear the crowd booing and hissing 'the English' at the start. I'm a proud Scotsman but I really do hate that. It justmakes me feel really sad.
