This cheesy ground beef pasta bake is packed with flavor, simple and quick to prepare, and perfect for any night of the week.

Ingredients:
180g pasta
1 tsp salt for the pasta water
300g ground beef
1 tbsp tomato paste
100ml pasta water
400g marinara sauce
1 medium-sized onion
1/2 tsp each salt, pepper, paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
150g cream cheese
50g emmental cheese
100g mozzarella cheese
30g parmesan cheese
fresh basil
1. In a large saucepan, bring about 1.5 - 2 litres of water and 1 tsp. salt to the boil. Then add the pasta and cook until it begins to soften, but isnt quite al dente yet.
2. Chop the onion and grate the cheese.
3. In a large skillet, fry the ground beef with the onion for 7-10 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Once nicely browned, add the cream cheese, marinara sauce, and a few tbsp of pasta water. Stir until well combined.
4. Place the pasta in a baking dish and add the sauce. Toss to coat, then cover with a layer of shredded mozzarella and emmental cheese and sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese.
5. Pre-heat oven and bake at 200°C/390°F for 15-20 minutes.
6. Garnish with chopped fresh basil and serve.
Marinara Sauce Recipe:
28oz of chopped tomatoes
2 small onions halved
4 cloves of garlic
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp dried basil
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil
1. Place a medium saucepan over medium-high heat and add all the ingedients.
2. Bring the sauce to a boil then reduce the heat and let it simmer partially covered for 35-40 minutes.
3. Turn of the heat, dischard the onions and blend the sauce smooth.
