@@dylandugan76 As someone who saw this episode in it's entirety, that is exactly what happened. The girls would have one come up with an idea, and then other came up with a good dish to compliment the first one, and then they kept building their menu based on that. On the guys team, someone would come up with an idea, and Brad would say, "nah but it'd be better if we did it this way!" So while some of the guys got to put forward ideas, Brad would hijack those ideas until it was no longer the original idea and just whatever Brad wanted.

It's so funny how everyone in the comments acts like they have been professional chefs themselves and that they would do so much better than the contestants. Hard boiled egg yolk has a pretty similiar texture to potato and you don't need to be a chef to know that. The contestants are also under a lot of pressure since Gordon Ramsay is standing in front of them, waiting for an answer.

Julia catered well to her audience. Even though it was something that one of the kids said they could make at home, it was still something safe that most kids in school would like. Everything else was way too damn fancy for the kids to appreciate.

Yes, because most kids like simple food, unless they’re on some kind of vegan-gluten-free-no-soy-harm-free diet most kids aren’t looking for the confusing food and would rather go with something they’ve most likely ate and enjoyed before

I was never on a special diet but I don't think any of those dishes would've been adventurous for me at all by middle school at the latest. But Buffalo is a really, really good city for food and my parents would often take us out to try new restaurants. I guess the results of the poll here speak for themselves.

Think about it, you eat a hard boiled egg, the yolk kind of has a starchy after taste, leaves some stuff in your mouth, similar to potatoes so I understand why someone would get that wrong, especially with soundproof headphones with music blaring, it probably makes it that much harder

I think that I could. If you can cook a decent dish, and you watch enough of Gordon, you realize that cooking is actually fairly easy. His biggest advice is to keep it simple. My cooking has improved so much by following his advice. I would absolutely lose my mind if I were given the chance to learn from Gordon. (He hates to be called "chef" if he isn't in the kitchen. He's not arrogant, just confident.)
