Same, I went to a public university in the States, and they also served beef stroganoff once or twice a month. The chef was so good for someone working in a public college, tho.

Good tip for paprika, add to the onions when they are reduced. It makes it far more fragrant and adds better colour.

Try Chelo Goosht. Doesn't have cream, but is arguably even more hearty with rice. There's a reason ppl love eating it in the winters of Ardabil.
