I was introduced to this beautiful music back in 2011 by a friend. Since then, I have been enjoying Cheikh's amazing music. He is one of my favorite artists. It is very relaxing and uplifting.

Cheikh Lô is simply the best amongst the Senegalese musicians. Great mixture of Senegalese rhythms, pan African sounds and Global music. Thank you for giving a great picture of Africa ❤️ Doxandem

I watched Cheikh Lo live a decade ago at the Cape Town Jazz festival. He was scheduled at the same time as the headliner for the night at 10 pm, he outside the convention centre, the headliner in the main hall. His performance was incredible. Patrons left the main hall and joined his performance. He literally stole the show for the entire weekend of that festival. These folks are the real deal. They use no keyboards or pianos. Absolutely transparent! Unassuming, pure talent.

I happened upon Cheikh Lo here on KZfaq about a month ago. I love his music. The whole group plays very well together. I don't understand any of his lyrics so far, but the music speaks for itself. I was surprised to hear him singing in Spanish at 28:00 minute mark. Music is truly without borders. It is the language of brotherhood. We can all appreciate it without having to understand any lyrics. Greetings from Phoenix, Arizona to all who stop here.
