In a sport with so much abuse (often by men) we need more female leaders like her

I hope she eventually takes over the entire program. This woman is the complete package; experienced athlete, experienced judge, family woman, authentic, encouraging yet also has high standards...the list goes on and on.

If I’m not mistaken she’s basically considered the replacement for Marta’s old position. I could be wrong

It helps that she also was in the position of these athletes and it wasn’t TOO long ago that she can’t remember/relate.

Especially since she just competed a couple of years ago. So, she knows personally what is needed from a more recent standpoint. That's even with updates for new quad.

Being she Lived it And is an Awesome Woman she is perfect for the job…or women, there’s 3 total, Alicia Sacremone.

I can't think of anyone better to have such a role.

I asked her that question a couple of weekends ago at National Congress and unfortunately she said not going to happen..

Seems to me and most gymnastics enthusiasts that they've added a lot of compassion and care for the gymnasts, which, given the controversies of the last ten or so years, are probably much needed.

You can tell from the gymnasts. Not sure how much you would see from the outside of the program lmfao

@@twebster9498 I agree with @Bxyxox that without being insiders, we can only make assumptions, but with Chellsie and Alicia in charge, the team got their sixth World's team gold in a row, a gold and silver on vault, silver in the all-around, silver in bars, silver and bronze on floor--all without their ace, Biles. And if the gymnasts are feeling happy and not abused on top of that compared to before, that seems like a pretty good contribution to me.
