Best Caicedo performance in a Chelsea shirt. Him and Gallagher look better than the Enzo + either of them combo. Jackson had some good touches. He held it up well honestly. Missed the chance, but positive. Noni has a lot to learn tactically, but at least his brute force directness gave a result. I'd say Olise would be a proper addition to this team. Noni undoes the teams good work to play him into space by trying to beat the defender again instead of crossing it. Mudryk should never play on the left again. Poch did right enough, though his lack of subs was confusing.

Noni not tracking back hurts the team, you could see Villa Overloading Trev. You could see Ziyech tracking back when he played in that wing. Sterling tracks back too. Petrovic is a downgrade from Kepa yet Kepa isn’t the greatest keeper. Mudryk’s positioning is worse than my 11 year old nephew. He never tried to make a run, at least he tracked back a little. Casadei looked pretty good, won all the aerial duels and Jackson looked pretty good. Maybe a little bit unlucky with the header & offside but he was really good with his hold up play and ball progression. The defense stayed in shape most of the time and you could see the importance of Silva in reading danger and making sure that the other defenders stay in shape. We need this guy for another season

Been crying out for Poch to try inverted fullbacks to solve the support issue for Caicedo and the space between CBs during transition. It took precisely 45.5 games but someone finally got him to implement it. The profound influence almost felt like the Marcos Alonso 3-4-3 sub against Arsenal under Conte before we went on that title run. The spirit today made me desperately want to believe in Poch but I'm not sure how much patience players have in him still.

super proud of the team today. We were unlucky, everyone talks about the VAR decision, but truth to be told, Palmer must score that 1 on 1. It wasn't his day today, he can't always save us. In my guts I can feel this team can do well under Poch, but something must be done about that injury crysis. We can't have a bench like we had today, this is unacceptable! 1 billion spent only to have David Washington as our only attacking option to sub on?! I wish we didn't have to sell Trev or Connor, but if we have to, then we have to make sure we bring in quality players. I genuinely think we are two transfers away from European football... One is a striker and second one is a medical team.

Give Cucu some credit, please! Look, he's not a "sexy" or very "techie" footballer - but he's been improving a lot since last season and he puts in a shift. Reminds me of Gallagher in that respect. I don't get all the hate he gets. Again - he's no Ronaldo - but you can tell he actually tries EVERY game this season: defending and tracking back, making runs up front, filling in positions and inverting. Everyone makes mistakes, people need to give a break ffs. Mudryk on the other hand... What is that boy actually doing? He's been here for over a year now and he seems to be actually getting worse?! He CANNOT control a ball, his touches are heavier than the bus that takes them home. No one wanted to pass him in the 2nd half and I honestly don't blame them. Silva seems to be absolutely sick of him. He may be super quick but that's all he has, and even then he doesn't know how to use his pace in the game. He can't control the ball, can't seem to play "tactically" and with the team, shocking at the back. He can't even take people on, for all his little tricks and flashy leg sweeps - how many times does it actually work? 1 or 2 times out of 10? And the "shots" into space... May be time for a loan. And maybe take his phone away? Boy spends more time trying to improve his image than his footy

In the first half Poch tried to do what Tottenham has done all season. Cucurella pushed up to LW and mudryk inverted to become a second number 10 next to Cole. Tottenham has done this with great success as Udogie pushed up to add width acting as a LW. The second half Poch switched to what Pep has done at city in the past inverting the fullback into CM to overload the middle of the park to control the attack while keeping defensive cover. Pep did this with Canceló, walker, and Rico Lewis before switching to the CB stepping in to midfield.

Caicedo x Gallagher is the future. Yes, Gallagher went further forward in the 2nd half but they both looked really good together once again. The only thing that arguably looked even better was Caicedo x Cucu in the second half but I think that's mostly down to Caicedo turning it up a notch. Still, Cucu might have a future as a midfielder if it wasn't for the fact that we'd then be starting without any Fullback at all. Gallagher is my MOTM btw. Held it together well in the 1st half and almost single handedly had us draw the game in the 2nd half. Masterclass from the captain. The change to a back 3 looked good and especially Badiashile seemed to profit from it as he had quite a good game imo. His passing is slowly winning me over so if we can cover his defensive troubles by playing a back 3 I'm not opposed to it. There were multiple opportunities where I desperately wanted someone to play a through ball. Mudryk made a couple runs and had some opportunities that nobody got the ball too. Jackson had a couple as well. Even Palmer took a run once but didn't receive the ball. It was really frustrating sometimes to see Badiashile and Silva just passing it between each other and that's it. Even the players offering themselves as passing options, running into position closeby, often were just passing it straight back to Badiashile and Silva. I was BEGGING somebody to take a chance and take on someone or try and play a long ball over the defense. Regarding the goal disallowed I gotta say I can understand the decision. It's quite a heavy push (Badiashile literally takes a run up and checks into Diego Carlos) and happens only shorty before the ball comes down again. Could have gone either way.

My main problem with this Chelsea is not playing to the teams strengths. Maybe its a good thing for the future system and i could be wrong but none of our defenders are good on the Ball except maybe Silva, so the weight of pass , distribution, press resistance and playing from the back is bad especially The Monaco boys who are good defenders really. Without Gusto the ball is progressed up the field really slowly then Madueke finds himself being double teamed, Mudryk however frustrating he gets, is never given a chance to outrun his man from goal kicks, and for once imagine giving Palmer the ball with lots of spaces behind when the team is re-organizing.

Good game, Crazy that our worst performers in this game were mudryk and palmer (recovering from being ill) 😮 Side note: Mudryk seems like he needs some intervention or something, he was a ghost. Maybe put jackson there, palmer false 9 and casadie at 10 for now?

All day long we see pushing and shoving and NOW they call it? The defender didn’t even think it was a foul. He just kept playing. Proud of the comeback but the premier league has got to have the worst VAR usage of all the leagues.

Madueke ... is a tough subject for me because like you've mentioned did well in the assist and the goal but he's mentality on the pitch at times last night was disgusting at times, was more interested in scrapping the opposition pushing shoving swearing I don't know but if he focuses less time on that and getting back I think we could have a phenomenal player on our hands

That own goal was because Badashielle dropped his man and Cucarella tried to cover. I'm not a fan of Cucarella but that one was because of Bada.

Didn’t watch first half, but something told me to watch the second half and I did. It was so good, the bullshit at the end was annoying but that’s modern football.

What everyone wants to ignore is just how depleted the squad was against arsenal. Having to give gilchrist his debut away at arsenal shows just how bad things were. I ignored that performance just because of the lack of options we had. We were thoroughly deserving winners today.

I actually think the Disasi shove was a foul. If any other team did that to us we would be livid. Have they gotten the goal. We must be fair and call, strike a strike, but Palmer had the game in his hands, but unfortunately missed the one V one. Poch Is always getting blamed for most of this seasons, failures, but you can’t say his system hasn’t created enough chances. This season was mostly defined by moments like the one called Palmer missed we have the chance to get ahead or to finish teams off, but we miss and we lose or draw and the blame goes to the coach. I don’t think that’s fair. The coaches job is to guide them into scenarios like those, but the coaches job is not to finish for the players. That is impossible!

agree💯, i'm always saying that Enzo is one of the Chelsea weakness in the midfield, but some of his fanboy not ready to accept that, for £100m we surely can get Declan Rice or even Joao Palhinha dather than Enzo, someone who really strong and can really protect the midfield and help Caicedo too😢

It's not coincidence... But it's not because of Enzo... Both Enzo and caicedo needs a dm to play well.. which is why we bought lavia... But we haven't had him available.. any game that Enzo doesn't play we play either Gallagher who can be very good defensively or as today cucu in midfield which helps caicedo
