Unpopular opinion, we should stick with Pochettino. Despite the inexcusable fact of high influx of injuries, I think Poch hasn't cooked with a full fit squad yet. I think he's in game management has lacked due to little depth on the bench hindering him to adapt tactically and just not trusting the players to make an impact because the lack of quality and experience.

I am Poch in for sure. Sacking Poch in the current circumstance would def be embarrassing for the club and board BUT....Amorim's foorball would be more suit the current crop of players. Great news. Amorim is the only Manager currently available/linked to us that I'd prefer over just Poch sticking around. I really hope we can secure him and back him with some smart transfers (hopefully he's able to supply the smart part and we just send the money somewhere). The "Amorim won't work at Chelsea" video is rather weak imo. It completely neglects the fact that Amorim only plays the way the does at Sporting because he can afford to do so. I'm 100% certain that he will adjust to being an underdog, otherwise he wouldn't have done as well with Braga as he did. Or at the least we will have our own Ange and it'll at least be entertaining to watch. If we have Amorim ready to replace Poch then the only way Poch can save himself is if we play every game from now on like we did in the second half against Villa, which is highly unlikely.

I say give Poch another season. Perhaps what the players needs is continuity and stability. They seem to be playing for Poch so another year with familiar tactics after they’ve had a year to settle into a new environment would significantly improve their performance.

The problem must be with the medical team and or coaching practices.

You cannot judge any manager when James Fofana Lavia Nkunku Chilwell have not played any significant part for the whole season. Take 10 to 12 players out of City Arsenal and Liverpool and they would struggle. We just cannot keep changing managers every season and expect us to compete.

A 3-4-3 means Gallagher will become rotational and when he does play, he'll play out of position as a more deep set CM or CDM rather than CAM or a more offensive cm like that in a 4-3-3.

I was never convinced of the Poch appointment from the get-go and still not till this day. However, firing him for the "next managerial strategist" is just as stupid as appointing Poch in the first place. I'd give him the second season till a proven world class manager avails themselves, (hopefully by the end of next season). Whats the worst that could happen, another 10/11th placed finish, lol.

Chelsea need to have 3 goals this offseason... 1) get the medical department sorted. No manager will be successful missing a dozen first teamers. 2) replace Thiago Silva. Forgot project 2030 here, we need an adult and leader in the dressing room. Spend the money here first. 3) move the expensive dead weight. Lukaku, Kepa, Sterling, and Ziyich all need to be off the books before starting pre-season. If all of that is accomplished and we sell a few more players (Hall, Maatsen, Broja), an upgrade at GK and a senior striker would be ideal. If all of that gets done we're easily fighting for top 4, and we get to see if poch is the guy or not.

Swapping Poch for a manager with literally the same tactical weakness but with a much defensive formation and lower experience 😭 And back three reduces the number of attackers and makes it Enzo and Caicedo in midfield without Gallagher's midfield protection. We struggled to create chances even under Poch's erratic football with a three man attack. This can only end up in a new manager bounce and then a slump.

If we do bring in Amorim I can see how we can play the 3-4-3 we used under Tuchel. Palmer and Nkunku would be perfect as the 2 inverted LW 10’s that would also overload the midfield and Xavi Simons as a LW/10 would be perfect. Similar to his position for Holland. Imagine a back line of Colwill-Fofana-James with Malo Gusto at RWB and Chilly at LWB. Also Gyokeres has a similar build and style to Lukaku I think so maybe Amorim can bring back Lukaku? My concern would be that Lukaku and Amorim are quite close in age so it may turn into an AVB situation.

I would be very interest to see Poch's post season debrief and strategy for next season. I feel that this season is 20% his fault at most. The squad, unsurprisingly, play like an under 23s team.
