What is that from the VAR? Against Arsenal, the third goal should have been disallowed because there is a clear foul of Gabriel on Madueke, it's checked and they let the goal (while they shouldn't), and today they say that it is disallowed. What is that?

Be honest. It was a clear foul. Whether the ref spotted it or the player called for it is irrelevant. VAR did it's job. Chelsea should have walked this game. Villa were awful.

I see both sides. There's no consistency. You see defenders wrestling attackers to the ground but they do nothing. They only make decisions if something big happens. Refs need to start following the rules & stop bending them on a whim. Look at Liverpool. I hate them but the ref was wrong, the ball was in play. That Arsenal one too, when he picks it up. Lame.

@@PvtVallen the issue is two things, 1) if it was called by the ref no one would complain, but in no way is that a 'clear and obvious' foul, worthy of a VAR call, was incredibly soft. and 2) were the roles reversed, we are never getting a pen for that. the inconsistency is whats driving us all mad, the rules are made up on the spot at this point.

@@apan990 these types of fouls happen in every match and the referee gives the decision, almost always (except this match) in favour of the defending team even thought the foul might be soft. imagine it was villa who scored in that way and the VAR agreed with the ref, would you be saying its a fair goal then?

@@ankitrizal5278 i would say that there was a push but it was a soft one, not enough for VAR to overturn it, but wished the ref had seen it. also again, reverse the roles, we're never getting a pen for that, especially not on badi, and especially if he doesnt fall on the floor, so wheres the consistency? vs brentford sterling went flying when he got pushed in the back, no pen, so how is this piss poor push considered a big enough foul to be overturned? the refs r just making the rules up as they go, idc about my team here, i care about objective calls and knowing wtf the rules are, this entire game we got called fouls from our attackers making good tackles on their defenders, we couldnt fart on them without the ref calling a foul ffs.
