Also Cucu is quietly becoming an elite LB, nothing got past him last night, and in possession with him inverted we looked so solid in midfield, it helps Caicedo so much to have that short ball option and we have seen the performances he has put in the last 2 games, these things are all linked.

I think the most important task for the Chelsea board must be evaluating medical staff, physical fitness, players' post-match recovery, and anything to do with the well-being of players. The number of injuries has been horrendous this season, so figuring out the causes is a priority.

As long as we finish in a european spot, poch deserves to stay for another season with sufficient backing in the window. He's been able to mesh the dressing room together and actually put together some great performances this season(unlike the likes of ten hag/man utd). Plus, he's had to deal with an atrocious amount of injuries that has really limited his options at times. I'd give him another season to really cement an identity into this team with some key experienced signings in the summer to reinforce the squad and I truly believe we'll be back in the ucl spots soon.

We were absolutely cooking in pre-season when we had full squad and competition for places. It is impossible that their training methods brought all the injuries, Conte would've lost the whole squad during first training. I think it is on the players and the medical staff more than the coaching staff. I've never been a Poch defender, but to judge the performances without considering the available players he had is dumb. We need that private investigation on player health to get to the bottom.

Using players out of position which causes points being lost is an issue.

I still dont see Pochs vision and tactical approach other than pressing high. We fail on low blocks. In many of our games we come out worse after half time. The subs make me question tactics. The identification of talent worries me, ie ignoring Chalobah all year, letting contibutors like Matsen and Santos leave in loan, etc. Mental fortitude comes from the coach and I dont see it in these players. Where is the development of Mudryk? So many issues with his overall performance. . . .

Imo… if Chalobah is sold we will need to add a defender. Tosin may be the man. Also Bashir Humphries will return from his impressive Swansea loan. Fofana is the wildcard and simply can’t be counted on. If he should return then we would have very healthy and versatile competition for starts in central defense. Colwill, Disasi, Badieshiel, Humphries, TOSIN plus Fofana. Looks like a strong group.

The coach is right the players didn’t get the history of some of these games. They didn’t understand competition. They seem to have gotten what it means to compete as a Chelsea player and those weren’t the starters. I do think he should be given at least two more season. Once he keeps improving the team

I will be very surprised if he is sacked. The club jave always suggested they will back a mamager long term and so long ad the players are behind him (apparently) he will stay. Obviously its a disappointing season but the injuries (as much as toxic fans ignore) and many missed chances have derailed us. Do not fall for this trap. The highest we’ve been all season is 8th. We have allowed the most goals in a season in club history. It took him over 32 games to figure out ohh inverted full backs is an option like wtf, how many teams do you have to watch do it till it becomes an option? Ohh then guess what now that teams know we will do it they will counter us and we will be back in the same loophole again.
