Old school deathcore had 7 string Djent riffs? Maybe you're referring to Meshuggah but i wouldn't consider them deathcore...they're widely considered progressive death metal

@@ancientatomicimmortality4016 I mean deathcore is kind of derived from death metal (it’s metalcore and death metal together). The early deathcore bands in the 00s when it started all had fast death metal type riffs but with heavy breakdowns. Parts starting at 0:22 1:42 and 1:52 is what I miss from early deathcore bands. Doesn’t really have anything to do with how many strings it is and those aren’t really “djenty” lol.
