Hashtag United are a one-of-a-kind football and esports club, based in Essex, England. Formed in 2016 by Spencer Owen as a group of mates playing exhibition games, we now play in the 7th tier of English football, the Isthmian League North. We won our league in our first season in non-league football and were looking good for a second promotion when the 2019/20 season was voided, but after the 2020/21 season went the same way with us top of the Essex Senior League, we were eventually awarded promotion based on PPG over the two part seasons. In 2023 we won the Isthmian League North and will now play in the Isthmian Premier!
We merged with AFC Basildon Women in summer 2020 and formed our women's team, Hashtag United FC Women, who play in the 3rd tier of women's football, the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division, after they also won their league in 2023. We also now have 40+ youth teams, reserve and development teams, an inclusive team and a walking football team...plus our esports team who play FIFA at the world's highest level. PKs work rate this season so far has gone up loads he’s everywhere the past few games and where did this pace come from 😂 don’t get refs not giving more then one penalty in a game when there clearly is more in some games. We’re creating a good few chances we just can’t seem to get that last piece as often as we should

His only mistake was losing the ball there. Once that's happened he isn't getting the ball back from that position no matter how hard he tries. He then tracks his man all the way (off screen) and gets goal side.

Ted curd looking really promising, some really good saves nothing he could do with the 2 goals, the oppositions number 9 looked a handful all game! But I’m starting to worry the amount of draws we’re picking up especially against teams like this game that have lost 4/6. Up the tags never the less!

Not trying to bash Cornish as his quality is clearly up to par but watching this season I have felt the midfield has lacked defensively especially in transition. PK has certainly earned the cam role but I feel without both cornhill and Watson able to play behind him, PK should slide next to Watson as I think he will be able to provide more attacking freedom and even service for Cornish than vice Versa as well as bringing a little more composure and assurance in the defensive areas.

Man it was so important to get Ted Curd after Alexis Andre couldn't play more as expected. Goalkeeping really well and huge for the Tags. Without him Tags probably would've lost this game. Fantastic comeback from the Tags and yet again another team undisciplined against the Tags and getting a red. Huge draw seeing how bad it look at the start of 2nd half

Teams work rate in transition was terrible, the amount of players jogging back is horrific. 1 look at these players from a scouting position makes me turn away immediately and re consider… PK was the only one with consistent work rate. Also I can see why Curd is a chelsea baller

@@JulianJamesProd. I was thinking that, I came into the comments to see if others did too. If any part of the pitch needed to put more into it it was the defence. They were so lethargic and desireless when in transition. Like there seemed to be no desire to actually defend and when they did get back to defend the effort was sloppy. Like fair play to Ted for all those saves but if the defence is doing their job correctly the goalkeeper wouldn't have to work that hard in the first place. Hashtags defence definitely seems to be their weakest point.

I'm gonna be honest, based on the highlights (might be different watching the whole match) this was so poor from us, and we should not be happy with the draw. I know it sounds harsh, but during pre-season our attack looked so lethal, yet now, we look barely able to shoot. We have too many players losing the ball and then jogging back, thinking someone else will deal with it. I will give you your dues though, even at 2-0 we didn't give up on the game, and that last handball in the box definitely should have been a penalty, but yet again the ref doesn't want to make a decision like that so late on, so decides on nothing. We need to get back in the zone boys, lets get it! Up the Tags! #💛💙

It's good to see finally the tags with some quality opposition as they deserve to be in this league. I don't think auto-promotion is on the cards for a while from here but you never know. In these kind of leagues, plenty of players are still going away on holidays or working etc... Just need a few results to go your way!

Joe Keith looks like he has been given unlimited control to take over by devs! It’s a good move as a fresh voice can change things and much needed. Gives devs a bit of a break from shouting as well. Overall we weren’t too bad, but slightly worrying in defense, a bit too sloppy and lazy, and that can’t become a habit. Hopefully pick up a good result in FA cup, as it will be very important to get to round 3 of qualifiers!

Interesting game, some really good goalkeeping and character from the lads to get a point out of this. Looks to be a real tough season this one, teams look hard to deal with. Yeah, loan player, but with his performances, hopefully, he will help him get further up the leagues. Young players will be able to see the development at hashtags, and clubs will as well, more loans/young Academy talents joining because they know that they can develop and go on to do better things or become a part of the legacy of the club

Jermaine is so missed as that playmaker. Someone has to step up in that role, attacks looked so lackluster. However, last season also started a bit slow and records were broken! Up the tags!

Missing a few things; Jermaine's constant pressuring of the opposition defence and general work rate, there's a lack of goals currently and there seems to be a struggle with keeping on top of the opposition forwards and wingers, but we're still settling into the league and I think a few style changes to adapt with new players and we'll be back as sharp as ever.

@@user-wn6ik9xz1y because he provided something that no one else really did, which was the constant pressuring, always going for 2nd balls, working super hard on and off the ball. Yes ofc that was the league below but those traits aren't really seen in the rest of the attack to the same extent and are very much still applicable in this league. Not a surprise that he's not crushing teams 2 leagues higher than he'd previously played, the National North and South are a monumental step up compared to even step 7, let alone step 8
