You make very good points. Pochetino's last games where caicedo cucarela and muldryk played looked very similar to De Zerbi system. Watching Chelsea play the last 5 or 6 games looked more vertical and take away like De Zerbi Brighton play. Something to think about.

Mourinho maybe for a year until number one target Amorim becomes available is the only reasoning I see. Mourinho lives in London and would probably be ok to try to work within the system when seeing the talent. He is ok with a one year deal understanding his roll knowing if he is successful he will have the crowd and in return owners on his side.

It looks like it might have been an organized gaming of the betting algorithm. The question is, what was the motive? The mob used to have people place large bets to drive down the odds on a longshot horse when they were worried their bookmakers wouldn't have enough to cover the payout if the horse won. @@geir8849 this style of play only has mostly been successful for Pep, so others started following his style cuz it's exciting but the others never had the same success with it. Pep has always had the best players in the world in his teams so its no surprise that he has been successful. Put Pep in a team like Tottenham, i guarantee you he won't win anything. Having the best players helps you win the titles.

I am happy that ChelseaFC are out of Europa League because of these owners who are money driven and not TROPHIES DRIVEN. ChelseaFC can lose the play-off matches for the Conference league to focus if they are serious on Premier League, Carling cup and FA competitions. I am waiting for the next head coach and then, wait for what he does and how ChelseaFC 2024/2025 goes before saying anything about the head coach. These owners have not put the fans any position to trust them because of their antecedence with the club. I will watch the matches for next season without any attachment of emotion to the matches.
