It also had to do with the mentality of the players that would never be the same. With Roman was forced to leave, the team had sanctions, only permitted to spend a certain amount per away trip. The UCL night in Madrid we couldn't convert our chances. Tuchel could only do so much during that era but the players were gone afterward. That is why I believe many players fell out due to his man management of players and also because of what the players had to go through.

In modern day football ,a gk cant be at elite level with only shot stopping ability.gk needs to be skilled at ball distribution,being available for the passes.thus gestures werenot in mendy. So selling mendy was a good decision imo

We looked unstoppable at the first half of the season, playing good football however injuries to reece James and chillwell practically ended our hopes of winning the league as hey were very crucial.

It was a great season nonetheless. Two trophies, two lost finals taken to the very edge and a UCL unfair exit against Real Madrid. Remember Chelsea had an aging XI and very young backup players.
