Virgil Van Dyke has scored the most in the Carabao Cup than anyone’s on the Liverpool Team. That’s most likely why Jurgen kept him on the game as team captain, and rested 6 of his first team. Klopp had great fortune using 6 third stringers for this cup. Chelsea’s main players were running tired and bottled it from a set piece corner kick. Liverpool dominate on corner kicks, plain and simple. 90 seconds into the end of the game too, Chelsea bottled it. Had it gone into PK penalty kicks who knows.
