I implore everyone that even slightly enjoys her music to SEE THE SPECTACLE THAT IS HER LIVE SHOW. One of the best live performances I've ever seen in my life, she is through and through a true artist.

Have you tried Anna von Hausswolff, live ? There´s some impressive women out there these days doing some decent somber music .

David Davenport I’ve seen her perform this very same song last Thursday, unfortunately she only played for like 40 minutes bc she was opening for another band

Simps. I've seen her twice, its decent but nothing special. Aren't you happy with your girlfriends that you come here to indirectly profess your love to someone you'll never meet

On this live performance it's harder to hear clearly, but those high synths sections before the main breakdown always give me goosebumps

the talent it takes to be playing bass, synth, and piano all at the same time is just insane.

Una de las músicas más interesantes, personales, oscuras e íntimas que hay en el mundo. Sólo puedo inclinarme ante ella.

Aliens wrote this. Only explanation. The guitar tone is cosmic. The chorus, imagine if Robert Smith recorded Disintegration thru a distortion peddle. Tony Iommi wishes he recorded this. All due respect to the riff Master, but wow!

Is this song about the fall of man, from a biblical sense?
@JoaoVictor-kd9py7 жыл бұрын
Freddie Fisher I guess fall could be a war

It's about her struggle with sleep paralysis. The whole ""Abyss" album is based on her experiences with it. I too experience it, almost every night of my life. The "fall" is probably the feeling you get, where your body is paralyzed and you do feel like you're falling, but can't get up. "Chasing the sun, I can't wake up. Scream and run, don't let them win." "Them" being the "shadow people" you can hallucinate while experiencing SP. But you can interpret it however you please!

@Christopher Smith Good critique. During interviews, Chelsea Wolfe has mentioned that her music is cinematic. The music is ominous and foreboding, but the melody is pretty. This contrast is quite creative.
