Covid definitely affected the promotion of the Album too much, which is unfortunate, as it is a tremendous job.

There is so much depth in this album... More so with repeated listening! I would love to hear some of these songs live in Europe!

YES. The Genuinety of her entire expression is Very Striking! It's very much what I, and I think A Lot of people really like about her, she's making music For Real. If she writes, it's An Honest Expression. I was talking to some friends, and we all agreed, if her and Ben didn't make this... niche, highly Visual-Indie-Goth music, but they made pop music, or something more easily consumable by the masses... they'd sell more. But with her, that's not the point. It's about Integrity. Where she comes from deep down. Same, except we went in Vancouver. It was so magical and quiet, amazing atmosphere because everyone was basically in rapture with her performance. She opened with flatlands and it was so emotional. It was absolutely one of the best shows i'd ever been to.

YES. For me, just listening to the music at home with headphones had transported me to places I hadn't been, or even knew existed. But yes, when I actually went to the show, it was WAY BETTER than I could've even imagined. Which is funny, because- even though I was a big fan- I wasn't even going to go because I was thinking to myself, "I can always listen to the music". But the thing the LIVE show brings that I can't get from my headphones is THE VIBE. The Vibe she creates and The Vibe of the crowd. It was surreal for me because, I had these seas of emotions in me listening to this very moving music. But when I went to the show, For The First Time, I could just look out around me... and Everywhere, Everyone, was also having these same Genuine, Strong, Honest, Deep feelings in them being evoked. And it was surreal because, I had no idea that was going to happen. For that reason alone, GO TO THE SHOW when it comes to your town especially if you've never been. I don't want to get too crazy here, but, duuuuuuude: the first person I realized who felt strongly about this music, and used it as AN ANCHOR, I could see her clearly before the show even began from across the entire fucking room. She was leaning against the wall, anxious, rocking back and forth, you could tell she went there by herself and I could feel the pain coming her wrists where she cut herself. So I just her some positive energy. Then... at the start of the show, the EXUBERANCE everyone had when Ben hit the stage... and then EVEN MORE for Chelsea. It was like they were seeing A Beatle walk on stage, truly. And then mid-way through the stage, I see some 30-something year old dudes like me, you could tell they were artist/musician types, and they just REALLY FELT what was going on... it was like the emotions they felt inside were outside of them as well, and you could see how much they just silently said in awe to her, "You're definitely AN ARTIST", with So Much Respect. Yeah... if you haven't been to the shows, YOU NEED TO And... you Europe people, Especially! You have So Many Beautiful older venues. We have some here in The States, but not like some of those OLD historic venues like you guys have over there!!! And that alone could make the show SO MUCH BETTER I'm going to be Totally Honest. This last show of her's wasn't THE BEST show I've ever seen on earth, but it was THE SECOND BEST, of all shows I've ever seen. And only for ONE, Single, Reason. I saw JOURNEY perform in an arena in 2000, I had nose bleed seats, and the audio quality was STELLAR, FUCKING, TOP NOTCH. Of course, the only reason that is, is because they paid people Fucking Millions to tour the world with them and rig that shit up like that. Whereas, Chelsea's show sounded GREAT up front, near the sides and to the center. BUT, if you were beyond the middle of the room, the sound sounded "dampened". I think that could've been more of a venue issue than anything though. Nonetheless, this show was PHENOMENAL and at one point a young woman shouted something out to Chelsea in-between songs, and I think she spoke for literally Every Single Person in That Entire Room when she said this out loud, she said, "Thank You For Existing." Like, she meant it from her inner being. Chelsea took a deep breath, kicked a pedal, and said, "Thank you for Being Here." ... And that, alone, was AMAZING... because it's those little things you get from those sows that create those unforgettable experiences that are more than the music itself. So, YEEEEESSSSSSS. To anybody on the fence about "should I go to the show or not?" DEFINITELY, do go to the show. Take the fucking day off of work (if you need to), treat yourself. When you get there, just relax, prepare to have a great time, and let The Master Musicians set the flow :) Also, (I tell everyone this as well), get tickets Specifically for friends who haven't heard of her before, but you think they might like it. They'll forever know you as "the guy/gal who told me about Chelsea Wolfe" and you'll Forever be cool by them, for that alone. (sorry, that's really long LOL ... I have a coffee problem, hahaha)

I love her to death and for me it's her best. Took a while to grow on me. At first I thought it was simple and brief. But once it hit there was no going back. It's more of a headphones in the dark kind of album. It's mixed and produced so well, but a lot of the subtleties won't be appreciated or even heard cranking it in the car, for example.

@@user-pr5tx9ep4m don't get me wrong, it's a great album and Chelsea can do no wrong. I just prefer the Pain is Beauty//Abyss//Hiss Spun sequence. In Birth of Violence there's songs that i absolutely love but there's 2 or 3 that i'm not mad about...
