Chen was the one who wrote lyrics for "I don't even mind". He literally did a sketch of what he wanted the song to be about within 2 hours and then sm called him back and literally chose his lyrics for the song. Chen loves to comfort ppl with his music but the fact that Chen mentioned loving singing rap as well and a fan asked him to do some rock song like he did with the song "Up rising" from exoluxion concert of EXOs... I'm here for all the song choices from Chen. His voice, the range and the technique that he has r just phenomenal.

I felt like he will do more experimental songs in his next album. A rock genre or even trot would be good. Not all idols can pull off trot.

I am a sucker for ballad but when I heard Traveler, I just felt it, this made me wanna hit the beach asap. Soo good. Chen really says, 'Imma give u vocals', in this record. On loop since!!

I am obsessed with Chen’s voice. To come back after 3 years with this is just amazing. He is another level for sure. I don’t even mind, definitely my favorite. A masterpiece

There has been so much good content with this album release. I echo others and say you must watch Chen FM where the members listen to bits of each song with him. It is both hilarious and gives great insight. Love the interview he did on Dive Studios about his work and the hello82 episode where he meets some EXO-Ls and teaches them to sing Last Scene with him... wonderful. Could you imagine singing in front of Chen and then him teaching you his song?!

Chen's favorite song is I don't even mind Suho's photograph Chanyeol's your shelter Xiumin's traveler And kai said reminisce will be one of the fan's favorite song but I don't know if it was his favorite or not >< Sehun didn't announce his favorite And If you have time you can watch Chen's FM with exo members they were reacting to chen's album

Sehun did agree with Xiumin when he said that he liked Traveler, so i assume that is also his choice. And I think Jongin really liked Reminisce having been awed by the lyrics. I felt Chanyeol also liked Reminisce because Jongdae sang really well and Traveler because the music is his style, altho' Channie picked Your Shelter because he found comfort with the lyrics, him being anxious getting back to the real world.

I love this album so much! This is really just him singing to us. the bare minimum piano, strings and guitars on the background, with his beautiful soulful voice is just so soothing. also the variety of genres that he gave us in this album is so good! he is range too. Like we all know he can sing both high and low notes, and that he has a very crazy range. but he actually used his lower register quite a lot in this album. I’m ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH HIM AND HIS VOI

his chest voice is amazing. a lot of singers when they sing high they tend to sing in falsetto and head tone. he is truly an amazing singer.

Everyone's saying how sad Last Scene (the song) was, but it's Photograph that hits the hardest for me. The first line about taking out old photos when you're sad is something I can relate to. Favorite-wise, it's Traveler and I Don't Even Mind for me.

right on the Suho and Chen songs as your go to calming therapy while studying. i listen t9 them both when doing housework and general cleaning and they really make your mood feel relaxed

Thank you for reacting to this, his other two albums are full of ballads, but they are beautiful ones. So on a day you are feeling mellow, and just want to relax and enjoy great music, is when I'd recommend you react to those. Rainfall which is an OST, is a song where he uses his lower register, a lot.

First of all, thanks for the feedback, I love how you appreciate Jongdae's work. The first time I heard and loved his deep voice was in an OST of a Kdrama, it's called "Rainfall" I recommend it. Also on EXO's channel they did CHEN FM where the other members commented on all the songs, you can watch it and have fun too. the song "i don't even mind" the lyrics were written by CHEN. another video is My singing teacher is CHEN in hello 82 channel is very good too, he knows and teaches singing to 4 exol is adorable.

In your own free time, I really recommend you check out the two videos with the EXOs all reacting fully to Chen's album! Not everyone is there, unfortunately, but, it's fun, it's heartwarming, funny and you can get a full and deeper insight and understanding of the album, the songs and the message behind them! You don't need to do a reaction to it, just having a snack and a drink, your blanket and the videos on will be more than enough.

his previous albums were definitely more ballad focused, i recommend them nonetheless. chen himself has said that he really likes healing songs, so he has quite a few of them on his albums (good night and flower are my favorite among them) i'm really looking forward to seeing you check them out !!

Chen wrote the lyrics for I dont Even mind, btw.. I hope you could react to Chen FM Pt1&2, he's with other exo members and they are evaluating the songs in the album. I love this album. It’s so Chen. I grew up listening to ballads and it’s still the genre that I enjoy the most. Your Shelter is probably my favorite one of the album. Makes me feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel 🥹

"I don't even mind" is an English demo and Chen is the one who wrote the Korean lyrics. I wanted to listen to the demo lyrics to be honest.
