Finally, a permanent chennai train for Tiruvannamalai people after 16 years and 11 months. Thanks for covering/capturing this special journey bro. Further Extension upto Tirunelveli would also be useful for KPD-TNM-TRK people going to southern TN(Second fastest regular train from KPD to TEN). Moreover, Tiruvannamalai's need of the hour is restoring the daytime express between Tambaram and Tiruvannamalai which ran until 2007(Metre gauge era). Other two proposals of extending Chennai- Vellore and Tambaram-Villupuram MEMU's upto Tiruvannamalai would be useless for TNM People as it will have midnight arrival and super early departure. No one will have access to it even town people and now think about nearby villages except for pournami days. Hence, it wouldn't be helpful for us and let's hope railways realise this and restore the long pending daytime TBM-TNM Express very soon.

SR has tried its best to provide a permanent train to Tiruvannamalai from Chennai. But I have doubts about the kind of people, the safety aspect from the point of view of fellow passengers, the cleanliness of the train and its toilets in particular and the crowding of the train. Its all you KZfaqrs who have shown us the dark side of trains running in that route and put Sanghamitra express to shame. Then I can very well imagine the state of this train by the time it reaches Perambur from Purulia
