Listen to this a LOT It's on a mix that I use when I'm working. The one thing that I would love is if another mix was ever made, would be for the actual 'Gimme, Gimme, Gimme' refrains to sample ABBA, just to give it even more epic camp

Why people keep mashing these up? They are two very different songs despite the same musical arrangement. Better a good remix of each than mixed together.

my understanding is that the only thing better than one banger, is two bangers, it's fun! also i think there is some similarity, they're both lonely but madonna uses her initiative, tries a booty call but with ends up in the same situation. one coin, two sides and all that

Because Madonna used the hook from Gimme Gimme Gimme in her song, Hung Up. It was monumental, as I believe that she is the first person ever to be allowed to SAMPLE any of ABBA's work. They turn down most requests to use their music in anything. Now, Cher has been allowed to remake, in a modern fashion, a large chunk of ABBA's catalogue, and Gimme Gimme Gimme is the first to be released. It makes PERFECT SENSE to mix these two, and to arrange it well. I still sense an that an even better mix than this one can be done, but this is the best to date!

Dalekium's mashup is better, IMO, and it certainly flows better (I especially LOVE that the Hung Up bridge was not edited out!!!)...I also love that this mashup seems to give both Madonna and Cher equal time. The other Gimme/Hung Up mixes are Cher-centric, while Madonna seems to be an afterthought. Congrats, Dalekium on a great job!
