Wow that was truly amazing. One of the clearest and most detailed videos of the area I have ever seen. No need for words the video said it all especially your ending with the names of the cities and towns that were wiped out................................

Absolutely haunting. Thank you for the awesome video and for turning me on to a new ambient artist. I've been an avid listener of ambient music for over 30 years and this was an incredible soundtrack. Great job!

For 30 years, Chernobyl is looking surprisingly well. I'd expect, nearly every building to be utter ruins, and apart from the vegetation, I can still see the paint on some of the apartments. Chernobyl maybe died over 30 years ago, but if this video says anything, the city, the memories, the plants, the event, will all be visible for I'd say another near 40 years or a bit more.

Great photography to see an update to such a devastated environment, what really hits home for me is the evidence of looting, when did people venture into these areas, were they punished with cancers etc for their ill begotten gains.

Nice camera work & perfect music to fit. If the disaster never happened I'm sure Pripyat & the surrounding areas would've been a beautiful place to grow up & live. Now it's just decay. Was this filmed in 1 day? Seemed like a lovely summers day clear skies.

Awesome footage in the Zone. Chernabyl 30 years after the worst Nuclear disaster. Derelict and abandoned buildings. Never to be restored or used again. A big area covered in radio active fall out. A curse that will there for a 100 years.

Great video and so well done. A beautiful and haunting sound track to top it off. Makes you sit back and ask how such a bunch of idiots were allowed to build a ticking bomb like this in the first place. Then when that bomb goes off they tell their people and the world it was "an incident". However, to the brave souls who ran into the danger to save others we give respect. They unselfish acts of those who entered the danger far outshines the ones who caused it. They should be remembered with honor.

Excellent camerawork and pacing, colour graded well. Nice use of sound, Geiger-Muller ticking was used sparsely. Music pick was spot on. Moody and haunting with good amount of sadness. Thank you for your effort. I remember the time when there was warning of fallout. I was advised: "Don't stand in the rain". Some seldom seen views, is it "Duga-3" over the horizon radar antenna. Stilleleben and abandoned spaces. Luckily not too much dried dolls or piles of childrens' gasmasks. In the end some familiar views at the amusement park ferris wheel and some not so obvious angle at the Azure Swimming Pool. Industrial space looks like Jupiter factory. Extreme looting is visible, people left everything when they were evacuated. Horrible. Not shown in this video, but all the vehicles and heavy helicopters that were used at the primary cleaning became too hot and they vere parked and abandoned at the nearby field. Radioactive metal is unusable in recycling, and every shipment will be measured. Those copters can be seen also in google maps. Once I read a news about a dude who snitched a helicopter at that radioactive park and furnished it as a kiosk to sell some sausage to public. Well, he got caught. Google "elephant.s foot" for real creeps. Molten core of reactor in the Chernobyl Unit 4 basement. Ugh.

@Rubelkoenig
@Rubelkoenig 8 жыл бұрын
+sherlock72 Usually you are able to stay there for weeks without getting a dose which will be remarkable. In many parts of the zone radiation is on a normal or just double high level as the natural background radiation. To make it more clear: A normal day in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone means that you get the same dose of radiation like on a flight over the atlantic ocean between Paris and New York.

Hi Sherlock72, we was be in zone 4 days, all official way... I use just camera, no drone, because my bag is too little for personal things and also for drone hihi. 4days in zone is cca 0,024mS (with measuring hot-spots) = zero zero zero.... hi

What month were these photos taken? Chernobyl is teeming with animal and plant life, and the introduction of wolves and foxes, as well as breeding dogs and cats, will establish balance. The truly long term effects of radiation may not be known for another fifty years but the last thirty five years, representing many, many breeding cycles, don’t show very much.

I have read that it will take more than 100 years, to be radiation free. But the damage has been done. It's already 34 years that has come and go, and it still is radiation contaminated. Sooooooo, I really wouldn't trust that place what so ever. Not even to visit. Noooo, thanks, I'll pass. In order for you to go there as a tourist, before you go inside that site, you have to read and sign documents stating that you go on your own risks. Meaning to say that if you get radiation nobody will be held accountable for ones actions.

This was probably filmed in one of the colder months so vegetation wouldn't block so much of the view. I noticed all the grass was dried and brown like it was frost bitten or had been covered with snow. My guess is that it was still quite cold, maybe early spring before new growth came on.
