În the 2010s, 2012-2016 my dad would play these funky pop groove R and B music in the car while picking me up from school. He had a Cd set of all types of them. He specifically had this one “Saturday love”. This would be the song he played the most out of all of them. I always used to love this and would vibe with him. Nowadays you don’t get people playing music is CDS it’s now Spotify or Apple Music. I really miss that era because it was just so much fun. I heard this song for the first time in a long time on brydell cockys channel and instantly I remembered. I never once thought to search it up and listen to this because I was invested in other songs. Now I feel the groove again.

My parents always put this on blast on the weekends. Then they would burst into my room and hand me a broom "time to clean!". Hated it in the moment, but looking back, had so much joy in my life between parents, siblings, neighbors, cousins, friends, etc. Cherish every moment y'all

This is the kickoff song to when my kids used to do chores on Saturday. They discovered this song and Return of the Mack and were never the same 😂. They used to play it and dance. I’m in my 40s and some have left the nest. The one in the military was the funniest. I can’t wait until they are all together again. 🥺
