Today we are looking at the new Cherry Audio plugin which pays tribute to the legendary Korg MS-20 which had a particular sound that became popular in early Psytrance.

It sounded like nothing at 13:55 then you put the beat back at 14:00 and it blew my mind!! When I grow up I hope to be like Dash Glitch :D

i bought this synth, 20€...no brainer for me. it just sounds so much like techno. and its a new challenge for me to learn some basic patch bay synth stuff. your end result sounds so good

Awesome demo! Once again I'm tempted to buy another VST, but my sound design skills are nowhere near this good, so my plugins never sound as cool. ;) Seriously, you make this look easy, my friend!

Sounds nice - I wonder how it compares to Korg's own legacy collection MS20? I have the MS20 Midi controller, and it's really nice to have hands on control over the plugin yet be able to things the original could not such as polyphony and effects - been I while since I used it though, so can't remember how close it was - critical element is the filters here - I don't think the legacy collection version did a great job on the filter emulation.

I haven't used the LC in a long time either but I do remember the filter not sounding much like the hardware and being rather thin sounding overall.

It would be helpful if you used an enhanced cursor so we can see where your moving to.

2:20 xD but I feel the same about this GUI, it all looks the same. maybe you meant the opposite that when a plugin is very pretty and sectional and guides you in a certain path, it can lead to less exploring?

The filter is not close to the real deal unfortunately. It’s the prime reason you get a ms-20 right? I’d recommend paying a little more for Korg,s own emulation 😊
