For everyone who wants to try this painting. As a beginner (I drew like 15 paintings at total), I want to give some feedbacks. I have drawn this painting two times in the last week, first time on paper and second time on canvas 1. The mix of raw yellow and white for the wall should be done carefully. The color of my wall is a litttle too strong both times. And I have to say that using a sponge make a important difference in realism. 2. You should be careful with masking tape on paper, it can be sticky, so make sure to test before, you can make them less sticky by sticking and taking off holding the two parts multiple times on a table for example. On the canvas, the masking tape is easy to remove and it was not a problem 3. I purchase some brushes between the two paintings. And it can make it easier. I was using brushes around 80cts one brushes. Then I purchased some brushes around 3 euros one brushes. I strongly recommend to buy filbert brush and line brush. 4. The shadow is the most difficult part for me. In the video it looks like, a clear dark blue shadow? I don’t have Payne’s gray. It’s a little difficult to figure out the color. It should not be too clear because it’s shadow, and not too dark. So, you can try to use white then add a blue gray color progressively. I think it’s greater to have it too clear than too dark. 5. I advice you to wait between each layers like 30 min at least. It’s really important actually. I notice it recently. And you can wash your palette every time you finish with a color. In this way, you will be more organised without additional effort and you can wash your palette easily. 6. Even if, the color does not match perfectly. It’s not a matter, it’s your style and just make it look natural/good. 7. It was my first canvas and even if it’s not totally perfect. It was for me. Because it’s the best I can do now. I shew this paint to many people and they are all very impressed. I am also surprised by how good it turns. I hesitated to do it on canvas because I didn’t feel myself experimented. But doing it a first time on paper really help to get the confidence to begin. So, don’t hesitate to make a try. 8. You can try to varnish your paint if it’s on canvas. You should check how to do it on internet. But it should not be too difficult. 9. It was the first time I share my paint with people I don’t know. And it can hype you to paint for sure. Thank you for this vid - a group of us just tried this tonight One big tip our group would like to share is that it actually took us, total beginners (newbies), at least 20 min just to set up canvases with taping the edges and window frame area initially Also we found out after the fact having measured out strips of tapes ready to go, would've been so much better and less time consuming...😅 Half the group attempted the shadowing, half the group chose not to One person in the group made the tree trunk a little bit thicker and had roots in the ground instead of the brick tree ring

That's amaziingg.. so that's the proper way of making leaves from trees haha. I was always amazed by how artists manage to create lots of details in making tree leaves and grass.. I'll need cotton buds when painting
