Oohhh I used to embroider a lot, and made kitchen towels. Seeing that makes me want to get it out again. So many crafts, so little time!

Hello Sandra, Ive commented before how I'm slowly making my way through your ( nearly 100) episodes! Started going more random now, or as youtube decides to suggest a particular one in my feed. I just love your work, and wanted to let you know. It's informative ( who did what, Etsy shops , blogs etc), inspiring..(your creations i am listing mentally to search up patterns later), and entertaining ( always funny to watch you interact with your cat and/or dog, I am v good at being a cat pillow 😂) Oh, and your , what i call...politely.. "random quirkiness" saying you can't talk properly ...when actually you are fab at it. Thanks for a very enjoyable podcast! Linda, Australia 🤗

Ta Sandra for another lovely podcast. The way you cast on in a different colour for socks is fun and I want to try it too. Love the unicorn blanket for your niece. She's very lucky to have you as an aunty who will make her lovely blankies and such. Oh, how I adore it when you feature Bertram. He loves you to bits that's plain to see. Seeing him running ahead with his ears flapping in the vlog at the end made me smile.😊💓🐕

Thanks so much, so glad you enjoyed it. Yes, bless him, he is my little shadow! Yes, I love his ears when he runs too, he always looks so happy totting along and he holds his head up so high, as if he is superior to everything! ;) S x

The Unicorn blanket is gorgeous - I think some small little tassels or pompoms around the edge will be a fun look
@CherryHeart6 жыл бұрын
Yes, I was thinking of tassels too! Probably not the most practical, but I still wanna do it! S x

Sandra, love to see Bertram run a head of you, stop, look back to make sure you are still with him. Love the bag you made, so beautiful yet very functional. Actually both are. I have so much fabric and yarn, so little time to do to do the things that I enjoy so much. You are giving me that creative desire again. Thank you for your sweet podcasts, and sharing your items, and thoughts about everything you do. In my Southern upbringing I love to cook, bake and using so many different Threads, yarns. Lovely country side, this is the only way I will get to see your part of the world . Beautiful.

Yes, he always does that! He'll check on all of us if we all go out together too. Bless him, he has to make sure his pack is a-ok at all times. :) Oh I'm so glad to pass on a few creative vibes to you, I love that feeling! I bet things look at little different in your part of the world? That's something I really enjoy about podcasts too, seeing the local landscape of different places around the world! S x

Thank you so much! Yes, it's constructed from the corner outwards, although it's done in a totally different way to the standard c2c blankets that I've seen. S x

Love your projects as always. So glad you like the pin I sent, I did see your comment on Instagram but forgot how to reply on Instagram, need to get some training on that! Lol...... I did smile when you said "Lovely Lynn", that was the name my Father-in Law called me, I thought he was taking the mickey at the time but apparently he meant it! Lol.... Sadly he passed away at the young age of 54 but every time I hear someone call me that it always brings back those memories.

stitchingfairy ha ha, yes all these various social media things, it’s too much to keep up with isn’t it! Ahh, that’s sweet that he used to call you that. So sad though, far too young. ❤️❤️❤️

Always a treat to find a new episode! Love the socks as well as the embroidery. Which is a reminder I haven't sewn up the bags I'd planned to with my embroidered pieces. (Must get on that!) A lucky niece indeed, that patterned worked beautifully as a blanket. Have a wonderful day! x

Ah, thanks so much my lovely. Yes, I've started sewing up my embroidery bag, but I'll have to find time to finish it too - always so much to do isn't there?! S x

@CherryHeart6 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much, that's so kind of you! Off the top of my head the measurements are about 7 by 7 inches (high by wide)... I have listed them exactly on my Etsy page though if you want a more accurate answer! S x

You know, if you add fringe to your lovely Ziggy afghan, you wouldn't have to weave in those pesky ends. 😊

Tempting!! I do find I am loving fringing lately too.... hummm. The only problem is I'm absolutely easting through this yarn so I'll have to see how I do for supplies I think! S x

I have a beautiful bag from Awesome Granny but be aware it cost me 15.99 to collect from the post office. 8pounds Royal Mail charge and 7.99 import duty. I am in England so now only buy from EU and our wonderful UK dyers and makers. Am I just unlucky?
@CherryHeart6 жыл бұрын
Margaret Webby yes I’m afraid that there are always duties to pay for importing goods, that’s always been the case. (From outside EU at least). Occasionally you get lucky and don’t have to pay, but that seems to be rare. Personally I don’t mind the tax so much as the £8 extra the Royal Mail charge! 😏
