I'm from Argentina so my favorite sweet it's an "alfajor". It's like a macaron but with completely different ingredients, they're made of two or three cookies, covered in chocolate united by "dulce de leche" (a kind of nutella but it's made with milk and sugar, a national sweet. Reeeeeally tasty but if you eat to much you'll feel kind of sick of it's sweetness). Love you, Cherry!

This is a reply I left somewhere around here talking about why asphodel and wormwood do express Snape's thoughts regardin Lily passing away, but I wanted to leave it here in case it gets buried later in replies. I had edited it some more to add a context that required the other comments to be understood, and to delve further on their meanings: [Comment saying that those mean "I deeply regret Lily's death] Noooot quite. I mean, yes, but not quite. In case you were curious, asphodel is _a type of lily_ commonly used to express grief over the loss of a young woman, for lilies, almost universally, are associated with young womanhood. The most usual interpretation is "my thoughts shall follow you into the grave". The other, wormwood, is used to express bitterness and sorrow. Therefore, the message is there, but is far more complex than is usually led on by "I deeply regret death". Bitterness, for example. Snape is a tragic figure, but, as we all know, he chooses to resent the world because of his grief. The meaning of asphodel implies both his grief and obsession, because almost everything he does is out of his thoughts regarding Lily Evans. And the "my thoughts shall follow you into the grave" adds a tragic hue in that twisted mindset because, in the end, he meets his end thinking of Lily, everything done because of Lily, and giving away his memories to the son of Lily. I find it necessary to explain that because it's one of those lucky coincidences that enriches the text, that it just so happens that a lily, symbol of maidens, was used exclusively for mourning, and that the other interoretations of those plants still fit Snape like a slipper. Of course, given how recent that interpretation is, (first time I saw it was when Tumblr was already stablished as a popular site), it may or may not have been a coincidence. It's unlikely, because Rowling did study a lot of symbolism to be secretly woven into the narrative, although we can't know for sure if she knew back then or if she had plannef so far ahead. [And we can't ask her, because she might pull a Nagini Tweet and say that it all came to her at the same time]. But even then, as I said before, just because something was achieved with no intention does not strip it from it's worth. Serindipity only has value because you were not looking for it. And that's my paragraphs long comment regarding flowers on a KZfaq video. Hooray!
