The Braided Twist Book and Tool set is so fun to use! There are many variations in this book; however, in this video, I did a full tutorial on the Braided Twist Basic Table Runner!
It is not only easy, but the Braided Twist Tool is so unique and the construction style is awesome. There is no binding, no quilting, no handwork. In the end, you do a fancy twist to hide the center seam!
This is a great project for an enthusiastic beginner, as well as a seasoned seamstress.
You can use the Braided Twist Book and Tool to make a table runner or placemats for any holiday or special occasion!
This was designed by Cheryl Phillips with Phillips Fiber Art. The Braided Twist and Tool make me excited to see what else she has to offer!

THANK YOU! I bought the book & template and signed up for a class only to have it cancelled when COVID hit. I've looked at it so many times, but have been afraid to try making it. Now, with your help, I hope to try it!!

Thank you for showing exactly how to begin, I have the book and read it so many times, but actually did not make a lot of sense to me and I have sewn for over 50 years. I also have never used a tool like this, and you have explained it so well.

How hard is it to make the table runner without the book. Don’t have a book very sad.

I have made my seams to the correct width, so why then, when I twisted do the seams not align. What have I done wrong?

After you are all done, you will need to secure everything with Heat and Bond: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pbmPZ8aBnMXZlaM.html You have to work with it a little bit. :)

It appears that you have raw edges along the centre of the runner. Am I seeing that right? Do the edges ever get finished? Thank you

You are correct; they don't get finished. When you do the AMAZING twist, they're hidden! It's so cool.

When completing the 2nd half of that project I would have simply flipped it over so that I could repeat the same thing I did before instead of trying to pin from upside down and Envision what you're trying to do below your hands I would flip the work over so that you could do exactly what you did when you 1st startedPutting it together just a personal decision it would have made my brain hurt less
