Weird teachers you had here... although I had some strange explanations too, I couldn't figure out how counting worked until after 7 years of music school, and I mainly figured it out via music theory videos... Like I could do it when I was studying, but without conceptually understanding what it was

@@Angelaius No problem. Start slow. Start with the quarter note steady on the one(wait) two(wait) three(wait) four(wait; then look at the half notes🎵 one and two and three and four and. Then the triplets.🎶 Trip-el-let;tri-pel-it trip-el-lit; then the 16th notes🎵🎵 1-E- and -ah; 2-e-and-ah, 3-e-and-ah; 4-e-and-ah. If you are all righty beat with your right hand the patterns I was saying above while you're saying it out loud. On your left hand you just beat one-wait ,two-wait, three-wait four-wait Practice until they just fall into place together. Most importantly, have fun!

Not really. If you’re a percussionist and practice it’s really simple. People think it’s hard but trust me it’s not. I swear if you say “ it’s a kid though “ yeah well she probably PRACTICED

Children's brains are like sponges they can retain and hold information . And being consistent with continually following along with instruction has always baffled me. This child has learned adaptation. Amazing keep going.
