My Mom raised me on this song! It was played LOUD to wake her up at 5am to make that early bus stop dragging me in tow! Oh how I hated that damn 6:15 am bus to an arts school 45 minutes away every M-F LOL. But Momma got me through it with Cheryl Lynn and her crazy early morning dance moves! She is 63 now. AND today I visited her. What was she playing LAF - Cheryl Lynn of course! ❤ I am so blessed!

I grew up on this song listening to it with my granny and mother while they basically did everything to music. It takes me back to the place where I was happy didn't have no worries.. my mother is a phenomenal singer and her voice is like therapy to your ears and this song was one of her favorite songs that she song so that's what brought me here today 🕊️🕊️🦋🦋☺️☺️.. Cherish your mother while she still is here because tomorrow's not promised and death is inevitable.. Luckily we have music which we can use it as a tool to keep us sane, a keepsake in our minds as a memory and to bring others joy and happiness.. Rest easy with granny my old lady 🕊️🦋☺️.. Sorry you guys didn't mean to start rambling are not trying to be a Deb Downer but I just lost my mom to cancer 26 of January this year and my granny passed 3 months before that in October 7th from covid and this was one of their favorite song, I'm a triplet I can't really Express to my brothers my feelings because I don't want to trigger them into a nervous breakdown because even though I'm the youngest I'm the strongest and I really don't have an outlet or no one to talk to. My mother always told me it's better to talk to strangers because I just can't judge you because they don't have a pre perception of you so they're paying will be a genuine honest opinion and not bias so thanks you guys we're just letting me get this out. This is a beautiful song a very beautiful song ❤️❤️❤️ Miss music like this music that actually heals the soul 💯💯💯❤️❤️❤️😌😌

This song is one of the best ever! It has Spirit, Soul, and Life combined; I was 10 years old in 1978 when this dropped and still feel the same emotion I felt riding in the back seat of my mother's blue 1975 Datsun B-210 on tha way to my weekly evening Boy's Scout meeting; life was so much simpler then 😊 Ps. I had no idea what the club life was then but I can imagine when this song played during that era the club was on 🔥🔥🔥

Cheryl's fabulous voice is the perfect compliment to that colorful swirling disco orb and oscillating lights. That was the era where everything was in alignment and you looked forward to Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights at the discotheque and always wondering what new hit would be generated by the DJ on shift. That was clean wholesome fun then. Sadly, gone are those days but may they live on forever in our memories.

@@ggoddf5889 yes you're right about the fact that parents need to give their children music education but after the children need to have an open-minded (it was and still is my case) I'm saying that because I remember in 2018 I was babysit some kids and the eldest one who was 11 yrs old at this time needed one day to use his parents laptop to watch a movie in it and when he opened the laptop I don't why the music that his parents put in it triggered and it was one of Queen's songs who was playing and there the kid said about Queens song and I quote him: "what is this crap music"...Me who is a fan of Queen thanks to my parents again I was like in my head what did he just said about Queen's music...I was so in shock I swear to you I wanted to slap him so hard in one his cheek of course I didn't do it lol but in my head I was like how can you talk so badly about one of the best band of all of time...Anyway I was telling you this little anectode to show you that probably there are some parents like the parents of this boy who are trying their best to give their children music education so they can appreciate good music but after if the children are not responsive and think that the music of their parents is "music of old people" there is nothing that the parents can do about it
