The reason Rxe4! wasn't played was overlooked due to extreme time pressure and fatigue from opening and middlegame blows. This is perhaps the biggest mistake that GM Susan Polgar did in her Chess career! She should have crashed Kramnik - the rising Chess Superstar of Russia at that time! (He eventually dethroned #1 of all time GM Garry Kasparov in Y2000 WCC match!)... A good sample game of Chess persistence and never give up attitude by a strong woman Chess Grandmaster against highly rated opponent!! 175 rating points difference is hardly been a factor!

Как мастерски чёрные организовали защиту в конце партии! Король в углу доски, пешка защищает фланг, а ладья ходит вперёд и назад по вертикали. Гениально придумано! Я бы сдался на месте чёрных.

It's rare that blunders are made at this level of chess. But it's even more rare to see back-to-back blunders! 12:42 White blunders by moving King to g6! And Black immediately blunders after that by not taking Queen on e4!!

I think the last position is lost. Resign is normal. you lose the Rook. RG6;KF7 or KH8;QD4;RG7 zugzang h7;QG7

Полгар зевнула победу! На 12,40 Крамник не убрал ферзя от атаки ладьи Полгар, а сходил королем, А Полгар ,вместо того ,чтобы срубить ферзя ладьей,- переставила ее в другое поле.

Сдается в этой партии было больше политики или букмекеского шулерства , чем игры. Полгар тупила в жёсткую, а Крамник почему-то прощал, видать ставки была на выигрыш на каком-то ходу или нельзя было так явно позорить шахматвумен амерскую. Почему думаю так, два раза точно Крамник мог ей впиндюрить мат, зажав короля в углу, съев ферзем пешку, второй раз когда Полгар отправила бродить туру по доске. Знаки Полгар и прощения Крамника даже не считаю.

The next move would be kd4, after Qh1, then kraminik would take the rook.

At the end, Polgar was lost. The Queen was finding it's way to D4, where a check would take the root. If Polgar covers the check with the rook, then King goes back to 7 and she looses the rook anyway.
