I've been studying the nimzo a while..but never knew it could be played against the london. I literally just tried it today against a 1500 bot, not a strong bot I know..but for me I'm in the 1500-1600 range. And I just won and played 97.3% accurate as black. I wanna thank you for the awesome video. That helps a lot against a strong opening like the london.

This is useful for the Mexican defense. Perhaps you can add it to the playlist. I remember one of the videos you indicated that you can transpose to the Nf3 lines via e6 if Nf3 is played on the second move. Anyways, thanks for the informative videos!

Oh yes! Now that I know how to play against English, I still need to know how to play against the London, my other cryptonite. Looking forward to Friday! I can't make it to the live audition, but I'll study this lecture very thoroughly on the weekend.

Thanks for this Mio, that's my usual approach against the London as well. Just a suggestion, I would try to use more arrows when showing lines. I don't have much problem in following, but I imagine a 1200-1500 player might struggle to follow the 3-4 move deep line in his head.

What I never quite understand when watching these kinds of videos is what do you do when the opponent plays variations? I just had a game where he did not come out with the knight first but with the bishop and where he protected the pawn: 1. d4, Nf6 2. Bf4, e6 3. e3, c5 4. c3, cxd4 5. cxd4, b6? Engine doesn't like that.

i see the queen often goes to c7 or b8 staying on the same diagonal of the london bishop. im 1700 fide and even though i see no current threat it still makes me mildly uncomfortable and feel like he could go after it in the future. what do you think

@@MiodragPerunovicOfficial couldnt find carlzen ine but giri timashevsky looked like they try ti apply your plans but regret it after 1 move 😂 repetition then trade to endgame
