Technically he could do the rematch every year till he beats Nelson😂 That would surely be some commitment by both KZfaqrs though..

Jonathan, good job You played really well, i think even i would have missed f4, I'm 1400 and sometimes even when we see everything we miss certain things, it's fine you will improve Certainly have improved by leaps and bounds, from losing your queen by Bxf7+ to fighting Nelson for 33 moves is a good improvement!

1:53 Missing tactic, this was a mistake as if you did Nxh5 then rook or queen takes H5 then, you have Bg4 fork if the rook takes, but if queen takes then you did a double opportunity because you get the bishop for free and you attack the queen if the queen takes on G4!

thanks for sharing this. I agree you've had quite a decent progress in just 1 year. question -- will you ever be uploading your live commentary of this game? I saw bits and pieces in Nelson's video and I would love to watch it if it's available. good job holding that position so well after losing a piece! good luck

Thank you so much for the comment! It means a lot. I do plan on starting to record live commentary. I think it helps me out a lot talking out loud. Maybe I can improve more by doing so and clearing up my chess thinking. Thanks again for following my journey!

Do you use the engine lines for evaluation? I always find them quite difficult to understand because they give moves, but not the reason why they are important.

I try my absolute best to understand lines for game reviews. Sometimes I see the plan, other times I don’t understand subtle preparation moves. When we are talking about a mating pattern, it’s easy to see, but I struggle when we are talking about the opening and middle-game
