I love this so much! Strategy always seemed like a some sort of remote knowledge that suddenly appeared in the minds of great players, and this lessons, as basic as they are, made me really think about this concepts and start to have a glimpse on what strategy is, making me much more conscious of it! And also Yasser is just great and a pleasure to listen to. Keep'em coming brahs, I'm sure this might not be the most successful videos and people prefer when something absurd happens or high energy streams (which are great don't get me wrong), but this are to my eyes the greatest videos you have and the one's I appreciate the most.

This is golden, and actually very entertaining too. Yasser with his deep knowledge of chess struggling to erase an arrow, or, I was grinning at 10:35 when, after chastising chess authors for using descriptive phrases such as 'the rook is powerful', Yasser is saying "Thanks to my very powerful rook..."

These lessons are awesome. When I can learn something elementary and basic, that I didn't fully understand, that's a great teacher and a great lesson. Thank you Yasser and Chessbrahs! Sometimes i dont feel like he knows how to communicate these ideas well but as i watch it becommes clear that he is so perfect at explaining these ideas that its hard to get him until he ties things together. He really breaks things down simple enough so i can fully understand his lessons.

This is phenomenal lesson! While I'm rated 2000+ online on all time controls I don't necessarily think this clearly about the position of my pieces. I would highly recommend any beginners or even intermediate players review this lesson until they memorize all of it. Pawn structures are highly neglected by beginners and this is far more important than any other aspect of chess learning. At my level, if I thought this clearly about my pawn structures and their effect on my pieces I would easily be rated 200 points higher. Great lesson Yasser! Thanks!!

What an excellent lesson and teacher!

Somebody should definitely make that into a chess puzzle. You get a chess position and a piece. And you have to drop the piece in the strongest position . You can complicate things by having it be your move or enemy move. If it’s your move you have to drop the piece and then move it You could add positional sequences to it or tactics… But I think that would a really great way to develop better positional understanding

This just made the 100 hours of chess stuff I’ve watched make sense in 45 minutes….. space guys SPACE that makes so much more sense

The question of what if a piece couldn't cross the middle of the board into "enemy territory" is really interesting because that's true of almost half the pieces that aren't pawns/footsoldiers

You should do some games where an additional and uncheckable king-like piece (twin) is played instead of a bishop or knight. That king has got to be at least as valuable as a rook.

At 31:05 why is it the best spot for the bishop when f6 is played it has to move anyways
