I live here and was born here, and I just lost my MIND pointing out all the places I go daily. Most of it hasn't changed. How gorgeous.

Nearly 100 years on and they are still debating about excavation of the amphitheater because of a building built around the time of this film!! How frustrating, it’s my city and that of my fathers and grandfathers but we take it for granted until it’s too late and gone, please excavate the amphitheater and put Chester back on the map for the best of reasons. Great film, thanks for posting it.

I miss Chester. I spent a good part of my childhood growing up in Boughton Heath in the 60/70s.

Lots of bars along the canal and properties n outdoor drinkers in the evenings during the summer. The noise of all the chatter is deafening. pov. @@westaussie965

I'm afraid the tale is just a tale. That Anchorite Cell was built in 1363

5:00 What's that shelter above the Roman shrine of Minerva? It isn't there now. Interesting that they emphasise King Edgar, the Anglo Saxon. He had his semi-mythical crowning, nearby, on the River Dee.

Sad that one of the richest men in the country and still is, couldn’t maintain that mansion and it was demolished and replaced by an ugly modern mansion.

Where they held king Jesus/Arthur in exile after losing the Jewish revolt of 70ad in exchange for his star prophesy as Vespasian was a commoner and needed it to become emperor. And did those feet in ancient times walk upon England's mountains green...

How many Jews were there (in Chester) then? I've never heard of that.
