Chet in last 5 games: 12.4 points, 6.2 rebs at 39% FG Wemby in last 5 games: 27.2 points, 8.8 rebs at 56% FG Not to mention Chet's 2.4 blocks to Wemby's 3.2 blocks per game in last 5... Also Chet played 32 minutes per game in last 5 compared to Wemby's minutes restricted 26 minutes per game. Hmmmmmmmmmm......

@lord_juuj7 I agree that Chet is in the top 3 for ROY and probably top 5 in DPOY... in fact he will be second place to Wemby I predict for ROY... Damn, did ya'll check out Wemby's triple double with blocks last night? That's definitely DPOY stats... No rookie has done that in over 30 years. Wemby's locked in for ROY... I'm not sure about DPOY though.

Bruh...Jaime faced Suggs, Kispert, Nembhard, and Drew Timme in the final four in 2021 and Chet played in 2022 March Madness but there's no doubt that they are going to have great NBA careers as long as there's no injuries.

Wemby has more PPG, RPG, APG, SPG AND BPG. Wemby leads rookies in everything but Assists Per Game. Hes 3rd. Wemby has done all of this in less minutes than Chet. The only thing chet has is shooting percentages. But wemby is basically playing ALONE, while chet is being set up by an MVP candidate. Wembanyama's team sucks, Holmgren's team is good. Wemby should, and will be, the runaway ROTY

This month goes to Chet. Efficiency beats counting stats in the modern nba. SGA doesn’t shoot the ball in for Chet the man is working with what’s in front of him and if it’s leading to a top seed in the west so far. Wemby is going to be great so it doesn’t matter.

@@assmaster1166 If efficiency and winning matters more than stats, then I guess all I have to do is find a rookie on the Wolves or Celtics who averages 2 points per game on 1 shot (always an uncontested layup but hey, it doesn't matter does it ?) and he should be ROTM every month. Efficiency is a bullshit metrics to base your entire argument on when you have SGA on your team garnering all the attention of the defense and all you have to do is be the 3rd best player there and finish at the rim. Swap these 2 and the Thunder is 1st in the West imo. I just think Wemby is better. He's doing what he's doing on a terrible team, on a minute restriction, and having to deal with the opposing team's undivided attention. The Spurs are tanking. Judging him on how many games they win is pointless. I legitimately think there is only one thing Holmgren does better and it's catch and shoot 3s. Everything else goes to Victor. He will get robbed of ROTY because he's not American anyways.

Some of these blocks are absolutely insane. When he puts on some more weight, he has the potential to be one of the best shot blockers & defensive players of all time. And that’s not to mention his offensive talent… this guy has a bright future no doubt.

But what are the criteria??? Individual or team? One is the leading figure of a rebuilding team with all the spotlights on him and targeted by the All Stars, and the other is the 3rd or 4th option of a team that is already doing well and has the freedom to express himself… and moreover, he’s a repeater… so the comparisons are a bit biased all the same 😏

Chet is amazing and it's a real pleasure to see but wemby deserve more when you see combination and pass from teamates in comparison to wemby at tourist spurs team with fake pop in coaching....where I'm little bit sad is that the team result is taken in account which has never been the case in the past.

Secondly, chet was not the primary defender of bron on that play, chet's just lucky bron didn't see him under the rim. Nah Chet is more deserving. I am a Wembanyama fan and still believe that he will be a better player in the long run. However, Chet has played his role perfectly and played up to his potential on a WINNING team so far, and that warrants ROTY speculation. If he keeps this up, he will win that award. Wembanyama needs to be averaging like 25-10 and at least as many blocks as Chet for the rest of the season if he even wants to be in the conversation.
