i cry when i watch this,i had 2 70 ss chevelles,a red one and the silver gray one with the black vynle top,both 396,my red one was automaticmmy silver one was a 4speed,i bought my red one from my friend jay,he hated that car,he was a 69 nut,when he bought my friend chris 69ss,i came home to find the red 70 in my driveway with a noat that said i bought chris 69,this is yours,he pulled the engine apart and left me the bottom end,i got it running,my silver car i bought for 800 bucks from an old lady who was a faithful customer at a gas station i was a mechanic for,i always came out and serviced her car up,she told me that she couldnt drive it anymore because she had a heart condition,she sold me the car because she knew i loved it very much,that car was nicely optioned out including maurader ss rims,i really loved both those cars and to see them in this video i cry because i miss them and they are exactly what mine looked like,i still remember the sound of that cam and the exhaust,mechanical music at its finest.

Killer video, man. I saw them do this one live in Nashville about a hundred years ago. I'm a Hot Wheels collector. I have several Chevelles in my collection. I also have a 1/24 scale model of the red one with back stripes. It was in the after credits scene of "The Fast And The Furious" movie. It took place in "Panama".!. thats what they claim, the muscle car era still lived, i have a 75 chevelle with a factory 454, although the big engines werent as common they still are muscle cars, they muscle car era truely ended in 75, that was the last year of the big block in gm cars, our factory 454 keeps up with the rest of the 454s, its the smog dog 6 cyls and 305s that you had to worry about. I just figured a chevelle tribute would show all years of the chevelle, not just peoples favorites, my favs are all years lol

a 4 speed laguna was either someones aftermarket add ons, or one of the very very rare ones that had a 4 speed, and my chevelle came with a 750 holley from factory

The most bad ass Chevelles in my opinion are from 1966-1968. The first car in the video was the best! Too bad most here were 69 and up. Oh well....still a great song!

@10630390 IT does more that smoke the wheels, it actually fish-tails for a moment. If this wasn't a Chevelle, I would swear that the video was sped up at that moment!

I have a modified 1980 Malibu, I don't consider it to be a Chevelle, but to me it is a descendant of the legendary Chevelle line....

its not a smallblock, its a 454 big block, still has the factory one on it. I have a small block 77, kinda dissapointing, just bought it, but lots of room to improve

Those were impressive 'muscle cars'...However, the 1973-77 Chevelles/Malibus were underpowered and 'choked' with smog-emission hardware which sharply reduced their engines' HP...Also, the 1973-77 Chevelles and Malibus were more styled as 'family cars' rather than 'muscle cars'...Especially loved the style of the 1970-72 Chevelle/Malibu coupes!

Might want to check your facts before making yourself look ignorant in the future. And I'll refrain from the juvenile name calling you felt was necessary to try and get your uninformed opinion across. The Chevelle was manufactured from 1964 - 1977. A simple Google search will easily confirm this. Many people didn't care for the 73-77 models, but dislike does not change facts.

nice tribute to chevelle. 73-77s chevelles are the ugliest years and lack the horsepower.
