In this video we will show you how to remove or replace the electric power steering pump on Chevrolet Cruze also known as Holden Cruze and Daewoo Lacetti. The electric power steering pump is also known as power assist steering pump. We demonstrated how to remove or replace the power steering pump on Chevrolet Cruze with the 1.8 engine but it should be helpful on the 1.4 engine since they share some components. We showed you how to remove or replace the power steering pump on a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze but this video should be helpful on:

Note to everyone watching this. The replacement pump is NOT plug and play. No matter if it's new or used, it HAS to be reprogrammed with manufacturer data.

I plan to replace the whole thing my car already has 230k. She still runs fine for now so expensive to buy the whole unit but hope its worth it.

Have to ask why no one has a vid of installing the gear box it dosent seem to just slide back in considering how you gotta remove it. Do you use the three bolts to force it down or? Looked for someone installing it and cant find not one vid. Thanks

I do know there was a recall on the chevy volt power steering which is the same type system, if it was under recall the dealer may be able to fix for free if not done yet

Can any body tell me how to remove the second wire connector? I could not tell if you had to squeeze or pull the clip Same pump is on 2012 Chevy Volt harder to access the wires

Here in Dallas tx they make you go buy at the dealer I went and buy one used but my problem is that it didn't see to work I don't know if that part is good or not or if need to reprogram
