No, thank you for sharing this video. This has helped me tremendously. Before my daughter complained about this same problem and the dealer kept charging her for a throttle body. I eventually bought her another vehicle and now I see the same lights. I will go tomorrow and purchase a new pedal. Again thank you.

for future reference , any vehicle with a DBW throttle pedal to throttle body will have to go through a calibration period with every new pedal installation or throttle body installation. Some cars have a process you are supposed to follow to calibrate them and some you might just need to drive. Thanks to your video i just figure out what was wrong with my cruze. ill post the procedure for re calibrating the throttle pedal and throttle body below. The Idle Learn Procedure listed below must be performed whenever the following occurs: The crankshaft position variation learn procedure is also required when the following service procedures have been performed, regardless of whether or not DTC P0315 is set: The throttle body assembly is replaced The throttle body is cleaned The engine control module (ECM) is replaced The idle air control valve is replaced Power disconnection (battery cable, ECM fuse, etc.) (Delphi ECM only) Turn the ignition ON. Turn the ignition OFF for 15 s. Turn the ignition ON for 5 s. Turn the ignition OFF for 15 s. Start the engine in park/neutral. Allow the engine to run until the engine coolant temperature is greater than 85°C (185°F). Turn the A/C ON for 10 s, if equipped. If the vehicle is equipped with an automatic transaxle, apply the parking brake. While pressing the brake pedal, place the transaxle in drive for 10 s. Turn the A/C OFF for 10 s, if equipped. If the vehicle is equipped with an automatic transaxle, while pressing the brake pedal, place the transaxle in park/neutral. Turn the ignition OFF. The idle learn procedure is complete. keep in mind if you never performed this procedure chances are you will complete most these steps over time during just regular driving but it may take a while . you can likely eliminate the lights and warnings far faster by following this procedure before driving. This procedure should be for all chevy cruze models.

i remember replacing so much on my car for this problem (g6). i replaced the pedal, spark plugs, other plugs i can't remember, the gasket leaking oil maybe thought it was the problem, the map sensor, the throttle body, the TCM, 2 wheel sensors and the catalytic converter . it was the catalytic converter that ultimately got rid of it lol smh. and i was desperate to avoid replacing the wires. traction control was throwing so many codes. just putting this out there for others looking.

Okay... my car has an engine light problem, except I just never received any of those messages. Mine is a 2014 Cruze LT. Engine light's been coming on for the past few months often enough, and it's actually getting looked at right now. I should talk to the GM dealership it's at and ask if it might be the pedal and mention the P2138 code. Worth a shot. This helped in a way, it'll be really helpful if this was it! In getting same codes but nice to know you get a new peddle I'll try it Just took my car to the dealer they replaced all the pistons car sounds louder now but codes are gone....don't like the fact my car sounds louder because its never sounded like that before. Mine is a 2012 6 speed manual and has.same lights one with brake light and when brake light comes on you can start to drive it and all os fine than all of a sudden it act like someone is pulling up on the ebrake and dies right down, if you shut it off open close door and start back up you go drive again for a little ways and does it again.

Was the car going over 3k rpm’s? In park my car will idle to 3k but in drive I’m not getting no reaction out of the gas peddle ?

I was getting stabilitrack and other electronic(radio/display reboot) issues while driving a 14-15' cruze. Nothing like taking a turn and losing electric power steering in the f*ckin middle of it. If it was acting up it sometimes wouldn't let me take the key out or crank the car afterwards. Wiggling battery connections clued me in to where the issue was centered around. Checked service bulletins and it turned out that during manufacture there was a lot of them that had an improperly crimped negative battery cable. Took the printed service bulletin to the stealership and had them do it before I did it myself. They were trying to charge for it and diagnostics and stuff when I already did that for them. Keep in mind when electronics are having intermittent issues while driving a car, it could be a spotty ground.

First person to show all the same codes my daughters car received, through "on star", after she received the limp mode error. Her code pointed to the throttle body as an possibility, "98%" of the time. Other vids also give throttle body as the reason.. so, I'm going to clean it and use ohm meter to check the circuits. on the peddle sensor..

I've heard that that problem also happens when it's really cold outside!

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but when I drive I receive drag before it really accelerates so there is a loss of power but I don't have the code coming up for engine loss of power. Do you think this would fix it?

This happened to me on my 2015 Chevy Cruze so I first changed the gas foot peddle. I thought it was ok but it did it again. So I then completely changed the throttle body. I didn't know if it needed a cleaning but it is only a 2015 or the sensor on the throttle so I just replaced the whole thing. Its been about a month and it has NOT happened again.

This same exact thing happened to me this morning, it was very cold out, about 3 degrees, and all of those signs came up on my car. Was your car also hard to drive? Harder to accelerate? I also have a 2013 Chevy Cruze.

Had the same problem apparently there was a crack in the air intake hose the crack was down towards where the hose attached to the engine replace replace the hose now it works fine I didn't realize a hose could cause so much problems and codes

I have this same issue with my Chevy Cruze .. but it's ONLY when I use my cruise control . The cruise control will work but it inevitably causes these issues after a lil while , and it seems like it happens during acceleration . Anybody have any idea why that is ?

I have this problem but it also accelerates very very slow also. Anyone else have this same exact problem? It says the transmission fluid is hot also. It makes it go into limp mode.

I have a 2015 cruze 1.8L I will drive it and the car with feel like the transmission is slipping but it's not it lagging power the engine light came on and also flashed and the stabilitrak and traction control service screen flashed at me on the blue screen. I looked this up and I've seen gas pedal sensors is bad negative battery cable is bad PCV valve is bad turbo is bad and one guy replaced his throttle body. I have no idea where to even start

I am having all of these codes except the engine power is reduced, instead my car threatens to shut down when at a stop or idling, my ac motor hasnt been working either and sometimes it wont turn off even when it says its off the light is still on indicating its on. I've spoke to a deal manager and he explained to me if the car battery has ever died I would need to take it in and get the throttle body recalcabrated to the correct setting position. Im a bit sketchy about his option since he hasn't returned my calls in weeks. I've tried cleaning the throttle with throttle body cleaner to help it prefer better, at first it did but went back to low RPM's in idle. I drive a 2011 Chevy Cruze LS, should I change the gas pedal or take it to those money hungry dealerships? also did the mechanic have to remove the negative terminal from the battery or any fuses when he replaced the gas pedal???

Just happened to my 2011 Chevy cruze lt. My light just came on no notice. I didnt notice any loss of power. Called my dealer I needed a service anyways at 3000 miles for my oil change. So I am hopefully not having to spend to much to get this light fixed. Going Thursday. Hoping for the best

It is the throttle sensor I just replace the whole throttle, I paid $115 in advance auto parts and I did mine on march/2019 I also replaced the gas pedal but the problem wasn't resolve so I dis the throttle. Now my car is perfect no more problems. My mechanic just charged me $20 to change the throttle and I bought the pedal on Amazon for $30 march/2019

Putting the new gas pedal in only worked on mine for about three months then I had the same problem again turning the car on it wouldn’t start turning it again and starting in low power mode set up throttle body gasket replace gasket say oh now you have to replace the throttlebody it’s just one problem after the other with this car

Well...I have just dealt with this issue myself. I hope yours doesn't have any more problems because mine was the booster pressure sensor that went bad. Mine was cause by having my water pump replaced (car was overheating), but the mechanic plugged in a wrong connector to my booster pressure sensor which damaged it electronically. Just keep in mind guys (have had a ton of work on my 14 chevy cruze) there are sensors all over and if they go bad they can cause additional codes.

2012 Chevy cruze the stabali trak will come on for anything. I hit the brakes hard one day and the wrench was on ..another time it was raining hard it came on. Both times it went out and never came back on

Clean the battery terminals. Mine never said “reduced power” but my power steering Would lock up and the engine would make a weird noise and it would sag service traction and stability track but after cleaning the terminals for the battery it hasn’t came up yet

I have a 2012 Chevy Cruze 56,6+ miles on it and on Wednesday December 14th 2016 at 5:40am i get in my car and i see the following messages on the digital read out, Engine power reduced, service traction control and service stilbiliTrack, i was like hmm maybe its just a glitch cause it is so cold out but then i thought well i have a remote start and it has been running so that can't be it, so i go to pull out of my parking spot at my apartment complex and can't get the car to go over 1mph and i don't even know it i was even doing that, so i try to get it into another parking lot cause i can't even get the car out of the complex, i get it into another spot and by now i am late for work so o finally get there and at my break i get the car towed to the local Chevy Dealership thinking whatever it is should be covered under the powertrain warranty, so the dealership calls me to tell me that it isn't going to be covered under the warranty cause the issue is the Throttle Postion Sensor (TPS) and that it is going to cost me 500.00 to fix it, so i have called and called different places to find out if i can get it done cheaper and everyone tells me that i am getting a good deal with the dealership and that they are the only ones that will really be able to do it, the reason being is that i can't just order the sensor i have to order the whole throttle body assembly and that i has to be pinned and sent to the dealership to be programmed anyway they also said that it could take up to almost thirty days to even get the part as it is, well needless to say the car is still sitting at the dealership cause i don't have the money to fix it right now and today is Saturday December 17th 2016 so i wish that was all that was wrong with it was the gas pedal unfortunately that isn't the case with mine, but i do want to thank you for making this video it did shed some light onto my issue.

Anyone having this issue with Chevrolet Sonic lt . Mine the brakes ceased and rotors got super magma red. Had to replace brake line rotors brakes and calipers. It’s working ok hopefully it was that. Stabillitrak light also came on.

Changed the pedal and throttle body . It was okay for a day next day it said the same thing getting it looked at today .

Plz help me guys my Chev cruze over heated.I took it for repairs the changed the top gasket and took the cylinder to the engineers and it was fine.I drove it for about 8 months after it was fixed then then engine sound changed as if its a diesel.I took it for repairs again he took the cylinder head to the engineers and he put it back the sound was fine.Now the vehicle does not have power it wasnt uphill.What might be the problem plz help guys

This is such a pain in the assssss!!! I can't believe they charged you $130 for the diagnostic...they knew exactly what was wrong with it! The throttle body/stabilitrack/engine power reduced is a widely known issue with this model. I like my Cruz but it's been a pain in the asssssss.....especially if you're on the freeway or in the midst of heavy rush hour traffic to go into reduced power mode...I'm surprised nobody has been killed because of this faulty bullspit!!! Reduced power mode is more like NO POWER MODE because you can MAYBE do 5mph in that mode...it's the computer and all the damned censors on these cars too. If you're still driving the vehicle then #1 I'm sorry and #2 I feel you because I'm still driving mine...but a word of advice....DO NOT ALLOW YOUR KEYFOB BATTERY TO DIE!!! The vehicle will go into some anti-theft mode and won't start. I was stuck downtown when it happened to me and it was pouring down rain and I ended up dropping $165 on a new battery and it still wouldn't work....but I found out eventually that by unhooking the battery cables and letting it sit for 15 minutes or so and then reconnecting the battery you ultimately reset your system BUT in doing so you'll risk burning out/freezing up your chevyLink display and stereo. Mine did that and basically it means that when I start the car for roughly 20 seconds I have controls to the stereo/my link but then it freezes up completely and I can't control it whatsoever including the volume?!?!? Thankfully I have Spotify Premium and headphones or else my myLink might have a few bulllllet holes to boot! I have yet to replace my gas pedal and censor as it very rarely ever goes into reduced power mode but it has been today and seems to be about once a year that it happens...always after heavy snows and when the temperature is especially low....once it warms up it no longer remains an issue and I tend to forget about it and therefore forget to get it fixed....this video is a reminder to do that! Thanks bro. I hope you're commuting in something nicer these days.

The stabilitrak issue can also be caused by the bad negative terminal harness which was replaced under my warranty and jba said it's common but not a defect wtf

Last year I bought a 2015 Cruze for my daughter. It had low mileage and ran great. Never in my 56 years have I encountered such a piece of shit. I've lost count of the amount of cash I've thrown at it.
