Any progress is good progress on the Crawler. I've been having fun figuring things out, but not much camera work. I hope you enjoy the clips, but if anything they give you an Idea of whats going on, and how I'm doing things. I hope you had a great Holiday Season, and have a Happy New year. Till the next one!

I know this is a year after the fact but your front axle links could the upper link be the same length as the lower and be mounted under the frame and the lower link be mounted to the outside of the frame ? wouldn't that help them being level at ride height and the upper link bracket on the axle be short and give more clearance ? just a thought , wonder what your thoughts are on that , and nice video I have a 78 GMC jimmy that I may do this to in the future

Nice man. I've been working on my 3 link for 6 months now in my spare time and I think I've cut every bracket off and repositioned it at least 3 times. I appreciate the real-world approach and you'll never have to worry about that pan hard bar bracket breaking :)

This is so awesome. Been falling this build (on here and instagram) but ill really be fallowing when you do the rear, im hoping to 4 link the rear of my k5 in 2021. I already have parts coming for the front so it can get linked (going the radius arm route since I daily my truck).

I had to reach out and tell you what a true inspiration your videos have been. Thank you very much for all the great content. It was a huge help with my project. I'm working on a K20 suburban with an LS 6.0 swap the transmission is the SM464. To make a long story short I paid a shop to help me out to get the job done while I traveled around the country for work. I finally got the truck back to my home and it looks like I may have a problem with the clutch fork linkage because the clutch pedal goes to the floor and no longer disengages the clutch. I'd like to perform this fix myself. Square body ownership almost demands an owner's commitment to fixing these trucks and I aim to please the Square body gods. So now I have a question. What's the best way to get at the clutch assembly on a K20? Should I remove drive shafts and slide the transmission back? OR should I pull the engine forward from the transmission to do the job? Any insight you could provide would be a huge help as I'll be performing this job outside on a gravel surface. I can provide pics and video if that helps. My apologies if I'm posting this on the wrong video. I was just trying to post this on your most recent video to get a potential response,. Thanks again for all the great content and give Goldie my best wishes.
@Dicks4x4Garage
@Dicks4x4Garage 3 жыл бұрын
Glad they helped you! You will likely have to pull the drive shafts and pull the trans to get access to the clutch. It could be something going on with your linkage, I would explore that first.

Hey bud.... Quick question... I have an 84 k-10 frame and some guy pulled out in front of me and crunched the front clip.... I found a 82 (PER TITLE) that has a more rounded frame horn.... It has a 77-79 front clip on it but I want to go with the 84' for everything..... It was my wife's dad's truck so I want to make it like it was before he passed away..... My question is, Is there any Fab work that I will have to do in this situation?? also I only paid $500 for the 82' with a sm465 and he threw in a dana 44 front axle with springs....
