Great question. I"m currently looking into all the pro's and con's as we speak. In my opinion it may be louder in the interior, question is by how much and will this void any specific part of the warranty. I may seem like a simple modification, however it may be litter more involved due to the adherence that chevy applied to the carbon fiber. That said, I'll definitely keep everyone posted with an upload coming soon.... Cheers

I’ve had 7 911s. One (996 GT3) had an oil leak at the main seal got it replaced under warranty and I put in the light weight clutch upgrade at the same time. Other than that I don’t think one car has gone in for warranty. 993 turbo, 997.1 GT3,997.2 911S 991.1 50th anniversary 911, and now 991.2 GT3 Got to admit I’m jonesing for a Z06 however. But not at the cost of my current GT3

Congrats on the collection as I"m in love with Porsche as well and yes the 911 platform is among the best with a long history of dependability. I'm looking forward to seeing the GT 4RS. Having said that I've spent some time with the C8 Z06 (I have a review on the channel) and If I had to choose I would take the GT 4RS all day long. Slower yes but It's still my pick!

@ 6:15. Youre dealership didnt put the effort to fix the issue to make you happy, they were being cheap and would rather fix a defected item rather than order a new one. If your warranty already expired, they would have told you that you need a whole new roof. Complete Stealership

I respect your opinion bud, but I chose this option rather than waiting for an undetermined amount of time for a new roof. Of which they would have gladly ordered!

What exactly is a VIN Number?

Great question.Vehicle identification number (VIN) is the identifying code for a SPECIFIC automobile. It also represents the build number of the vehicle. In this case, my C8 is the 390th C8 built for 2021. The VIN serves as the car's fingerprint, as no two vehicles in operation have the same VIN. A VIN is composed of 17 characters (digits and capital letters) that act as a unique identifier for the vehicle. A VIN displays the car's unique features, specifications and manufacturer. The VIN can be used to track recalls, registrations, warranty claims, thefts and insurance coverage. Hope this helps. More C8 content coming very soon. Cheers

I had the same issue with my headlight. They took off the bumper and repainted it... it still has the same compression and chipping issue....

Appreciate the insight. Did they use the shim kit? If not all ready I would ask the deanship, in specific how they tried to address the problem. In my case they adjusted the bumper in-conjunction with the headlight assembly and used the shim kit.

Wish I could say i was shocked. If you were paying attention, you'd know new cars aren't worth their asking price. Especially since when they break, and they will break, it'll cost the asking price in repairs.

In regards to this particular platform (C8, Corvette). I would have to strongly disagree. Every repair has been covered under warranty and the C8 Corvette market is still holding very strong. Assuming you paid MSRP for a C8 and your willing to sell it. You'll absolutely make a profit or at a minimum get your money back. This is after you've enjoyed the car for a least a year. With that being said, the historical market for Corvettes has always been strong! Just something for you to think about.

The issue becomes the post warranty nightmares. These just don't give me the feeling that they will hold up for the long haul. Had a C6 for 11 years, and it was flawless. Hellcat Challenger since then, and the same deal with it. C8 has been problematic for many people. Love the look though!!!

Texas heat caused the ENTIRE headliner of my Porsche to sag, not just corners like the Chevy. The only thing keeping my headliner from completely falling is the headrests of the seats. Porsche isn’t as high quality as people see it. Chevy looks better at the moment.

I just said that. 7 911s and one warranty claim. When you include track work that’s amazing. My 996 GT3 had an oil leak and I put in the light weight clutch upgrade. All the others have been fantastic and you can track them without any kind of track prep package. And I lived in the Mojave desert and that’s hotter than Texas. I’ve had BMW Porsche and Mercedes. Porsche was the best of all three. AND I only tracked the 911s. But I did have bmw X5M and it was awesome also.
