How bad was the core support removal? Was it all bolts? I will be swapping in a new build in my 04 2500hd and know the engine lift will not go high enough to clear

Can you go solid axle without going so high? Only looking for 6-7 inches of lift cause she’s a work truck and travels a lot and I was actually thinking of buying the 6.5 BDS with rear leaf springs but now after seeing your truck I’m not so sure. I’ve got a 2005 Silverado Z71 crew cab like your extended cab and i would love solid axle cause I’m only at 123K miles but not sure who could install. I’m in Texas
