I was so jaded when I heard about the original version of RotJ. How the Death Star isn't actually destroyed until the final film and the final duel takes place on Coruscant and there are 2 more Death Stars under construction in orbit. How the original setting was Kashyyyk. But I think the think that killed me the most was when Lucas himself said that the original version of the battle was with Wookies, and "The word 'Ewok' is essentially "Wookie" backwards. When he said that it was like my perception of reality was shattered. "Wait, no it's n-... oh DAMN YOU GEORGE LUCAS!!!!
