As a Singaporean, you can eat chewing gum it is illegal to SELL and you need to dispose the gum correctly cuz the reason they ban selling it is because people used to stick the gum on the MRT doors so the government banned selling gum but u can buy gum from other countries and chew on it

I'm saying that since it is illegal to sell gum here, there is no easy way to get access to it. For those who don't understand In Singapore it is banned to eat chewing gum, and if anybody caught eating chewing gum they will have to pay a large amount of fine or somethings they are also rested

As a Singaporean I can say that we are allowed to eat bubble gum in our country just not allowed to sell it but you can buy it from other countries and bring it in just not in large amounts

Since 2004, an exception has existed for therapeutic, dental, and nicotine chewing gum, which can be bought from a doctor or registered pharmacist. It is not illegal to chew gum in Singapore, but it is against the law to import it and sell it, apart from the aforementioned exceptions. (According to Google)

The reason gum is banned in Singapore is because last time Singapore allowed gum but many people put the gum in train stations so Singapore banned gum for that.
